H&R Block

The poor lady helping me with my taxes had no idea how to work there computer system another was talking through Partition wall. Then paid them and cra says my taxes did not get filed now got pay another company to do my taxes right on h&r

Would rate 0 stars if possible. Extremely confrontational as soon as we walked with an appointment to be told that it's impossible to have an appointment and then refused to look at my email proof of booking. We were then treated extremely poorly and had to tell them how to file the taxes properly. Do not come here there are much better H&R blocks that have given us fantastic service.

Anmar is amazing, professional, personable, and a down right lovely person. We wouldn’t have anyone else file our taxes. I’d highly recommend him! We only use this location because of him. Thank you 5+ stars!!

Anmar has been doing my taxes for 3 years now and has always done an excellent job, so book with him if you can. He is professional, quick, and super helpful with explaining anything you are unsure of!

SCAM. Tried to charge me $1,100.00 for 45 minutes of typing numbers into her computer. No upfront warning on any cost. Absolute waste of time and money. Never use this scamming company.

If I could give zero stars I would. I don’t know where to start to explain the disorganization and lack of communication this company provides. Not only am I waiting 11 days and still waiting for them to do our taxes as they give us excuse after excuse and push us off.Don’t go here… they will set you on the back burner and not care about you or your business. My girlfriend is tired and rung out as she’s still trying to figure out the status of our taxes as they give us viable answers and false promises.

After standing around and waiting for 15 minutes when I had an appointment I finally got in and got everything done. The lady said she filed for me, I paid, and then was told I'd get my refund direct deposit in 5 to 10 business days. After waiting 3 weeks I felt something wasn't right. I went back to the location only to find out there was an error and it was never filed! I wasn't given an apology or offered anything for the error. I have the easiest taxes and they still screwed up! I will not be back!

If I could give zero stars I would, just like most of these reviews. This year was my first time filing for taxes and from everyone I know I was told it would only cost about $45. I was charged $200 and was not told before hand that it was going to be that much. They also only told me the amount AFTET she had finished filing everything, so what am I gonna do? Not pay it lol I had to. But meh I don’t know anyone who’s had a pleasant experience here. Honestly, my fault for coming. Oh well :)

They don't care at all, if you have anything above a basic return they won't service you properly. They literally would not get back to me, I probably left 15 emails/voicemails, ended up making a formal complaint at head office not that it will matter. I dealt with Jane Zhao / Anmar / Crys, all of them actively ignored me. I met at the Shanessy office twice and they are apologetic for poor service, and then continue to ignore you. Awful experience, probably the worst service experience I've had in my life (not exaggerating). They probably get paid per file so if you don't have an easy return that can be done in 10 minutes then don't expect service. I was also told incorrect advice that I knew was wrong, and these are apparently tax professionals!! Wildly unprofessional office. When I spoke to the branch manager she basically said she can't force her employees to reply to me....what?!?! I'm speechless.

Chris was absolutely amazing with the phone inquiry I had today. He really put his time and efforts towards my questions. He didn't rush me & definitely made me feel Important.For anyone reading this, if your on the fence of choosing to work with H&R block or do your taxes independently I highly suggest you go to this H&R block to show some support to the wonderful staff such as Chris. He was delightful!
