They provide one of the largest assortment of foods in their $13 Bento. Customers can choose from various vegetable tempura, four different style of sushi, and two different type of rice for their Bento.Additionally, the staff there was consistently friendly and efficient. They also serve pre-packaged food, as well as fantastic bubble tea over the counter.

Pretty sure Safeway sushi is better quality. They use very little salmon/tuna in their rolls, use rice as a stuffer and it's overpriced. If you've ever been to another Umi anywhere else in the city, it really shows the bad quality of their rolls here.

The nicest people run this place, always so friendly and helpful! Everything I've gotten from here is tasty and it's my favorite place to get bubble tea. There's never a line so it's a nice little hidden gem in the middle of Mac Hall.

Had the takoyaki as a snack and it was not bad for what it was. Came in a prepackaged cold box in the fridge, but staff warms it up and adds the sauce after you order it. No way the best takoyaki I've had, but it's gets the job done if you're craving some Japanese for a quick snack

Your sushi option on campus! They have simple bentos as well. A good selection of Japanese choices, as well as bubble tea. Also, doesn't usually have a line.

Like most who have been at the U of C for more than a year, I'm pretty much sick of everything in Mac Hall. However, the affordability of the mini-bento boxes kept me coming back - until they increased the price. The problem is their food is so old it's revolting. Paying $9 for crusty rice, cabbage, some luke warm soggy tempura, and meat that resembles cat food more than else anything is not worth it. You're better off eating from somewhere else for the 100th time.

Used to be good when it first opened. Now everything has gone downhill.Have tried most things on the menu and the last one was the shoyu ramen. I got half an egg, it was fully boiled and not marinated at all, one piece of meat, and really, really plain broth, and there wasn't much of the other usual ingredients. Seriously cutting corners.

Ordered a bento box which came to almost $15. Salad lettuce was brown and scary looking, tempura was soggy and the chicken tasted like it came out of a can. Really poor quality and value even for a starving student palate.

There was no shrimp in the mixed tempura (states shrimp and veg). Salmon avocado roll literally has a sliver of salmon. Avacado and salmon are fresh. Called them multiple times after recieving my order to get it replaced but no response.

Great selection of sushi, decently priced, great customer service, the staff seems really polite and accommodating everytime I visit which keeps me coming back.
