Blue Heron Midwives

If you don’t have an experiential knowledge of labour pain, being a midwife is probably not the best career option for you. The midwife my wife got was not very knowledgeable. Her dilation assessment was always off by 1cm, which can be detrimental to someone’s life in critical situations. It was unbelievable to me that the midwife did not even know when the water broke. Seriously? My wife went through 4 days of excruciating labour pain at home, because of wrong assessment. I would not recommend these people to anyone.

I just had my first child with the support of Blue Heron and I cannot imagine a better experience! Throughout my entire pregnancy, the labor/delivery experience, and care afterwards I felt 100% supported and in good hands, so much so that I opted to have a home birth which is something that I never ever thought I would do (and it was me who brought up the idea because if covid). All of my choices along the way were completely heard and respected. I also loved their free connecting pregnancy program and am now in their new baby time program which has provided me with tons of valuable knowledge and connected me with other expecting/new moms. I hope to be in their care again when it's time for another baby!

Blue Heron Midwives provides the most exceptional care anyone could ask for. I am so happy I decided to go with them for my first pregnancy and will continue to use them when I have more children.While you are pregnant they have a prenatal group you can join. Here you learn about a variety of topics regarding your pregnancy. In the group there are also other women who are due to have their baby the same month as you so you can share your experiences with one another.During your pregnancy and when you go into labour the midwives are very easy to reach and attend to your needs quickly.After you have your baby you can join their new baby time group where again you learn about topics concerning your new baby and get to socialize with other new moms.The midwives are so amazing and make you feel confident and safe throughout your entire experience.

I absolutely adored my midwife experience with Blue Heron! The entire team is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate. I always felt extremely well cared for at all points throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum periods. Their connecting pregnancy classes were excellent as well and introduced me to other moms with same-aged babies in the area. Postpartum, I found the home visits so wonderful and could not believe how many times they came directly to my house in the first weeks to support, care, and check in on me and my baby. They are also easy to page at any time while in their care. The level of care this team provides really is incredible.I cannot recommend Blue Heron enough - I wish I could give more than 5 stars! I hope to be back with future pregnancies!

We had our first baby in December 2020. We had a fantastic experience with Blue Heron Midwives. From initial visit to discharge all midwives and students involved in our care were knowledgeable, kind, and patient. The team was supportive along the entire pregnancy and postpartum journey. Will certainly return to this practice for future pregnancies.

I had a wonderful experience with the midwives at Blue Heron. I was transferred to an OB mid-way through the pregnancy but I was still very well supported by all the midwives. I was grateful that I could access my midwives on-call at any time for any concern. Post partum care for both baby and myself was excellent as well. I had the opportunity to meet and work with all the midwives and everyone was warm, competent and compassionate. Fran the administrator was always responsive and helpful. Couldn't recommend this practice enough!

Thank you Blue Heron Team for providing us great care since my wife is pregnant. We had our baby delivered on Good Friday. Jessica, Michelle and Megan were with us all day long on that holiday. After we gave birth to the baby, Tianna followed up with us helping my wife recover. I also want to appreciate Fran for booking all the appointments for us. I absolutely recommend Blue Heron Midwives! All the staff are amazing here. I had my baby in November and my entire pregnancy I was looked after primarily Maddie (student) and a few other midwives along the way. Maddie is going to be an exceptional midwife someday! I felt completely taken care of here and felt like I was genuinely being heard. We will definitely be going back if it’s in the cards! 10/10!

First pregnancy and birth has been a fear of mine since I was young.Everyone was very helpful and kind throughout my pregnancy.I could not have imagined more supportive or helpful people to help me during delivery and postpartum care.

Loved them all. As my first pregnancy I was nervous, but from start to end everyone was awesome, supportive, caring, and knowledgeable, couldn't be happier. I had Michelle and Maddie during my delivery and they both were so caring and wonderful, you can tell they love what they do. If i'm blessed enough to have another I hope to be back. Thank you ladies!
