We have built new homes with three different builders - Tartan, Urbandale, and now Melanie Construction. There is absolutely zero comparison - Z.E.R.O. We built a custom home from one of the base plans. We made so many changes including structural ones and Julien and Renee embraced our changes and their pricing was definitely fair and reasonable. I work as an engineering consultant and have experience in construction and can confirm that any changes are priced accurately and fairly.But material is only one component of a new home build. Construction quality is as important as the materials to be used - I would say even more important. The contractors they use have been with them for decades. They take pride in their craft. Small things like rounded corners for drywall, proper electrical terminations and labelling, walkthroughs during construction to ask questions or where contractors want to double check with you before it gets installed. I could go on with a long list of reasons why you should choose Melanie Construction. Let me put it this way - we had three items on our 30 day list. The day we submitted them, they scheduled the work the same week. Seriously - show me one other home builder that only has 3 things on their 30 day then fixes them the same week.If you want the best quality home, customizable at a fair price, with great communication and top notch customer services and after sales support, Renee, Julien at Melanie Construction cannot be beat. If you are considering building with Melanie Construction - do it!!! Julien built us our dream home and every milestone he set from our initial meeting was hit exactly as scheduled. You can tell how much pride he takes in his work and is very hands on during the whole process. He along with his amazing team are so dedicated, transparent, responsive and accommodating (unlike most builders!!!) and we could not recommend them enough. So happy with our experience start to finish and if we ever did decide to build again it would definitely be a Melanie home!

10 years later and I'm still thrilled with the house, the community and the builder. Custom build delivered on time and on budget. Terrific people to work with.

We have purchased many new builds, and the craftsmanship of this home is incomparable.Their staff is exceptional. June 2022:We did our pre-delivery inspection today with Julien, and we honestly could not be happier… This company, is truly above and beyond… The workmanship, impeccable. We have dealt with our fair share of new builds, and not one comes close to the service we received, and the quality. Looks like we are stuck in Embrun or Russell for the rest of our days - since this is THE only builder we would trust for our family home.—————-May 2022:We’ve had the pleasure of dealing with Melanie Construction. My wife and I approaching our one year mark living in our beautiful home built by Melanie Construction. To say our experience was amazing is an understatement. In our dealings with Julien and his team, it was quite evident, from the beginning, that they set the bar high compared to others in the industry.When starting our journey to purchase our first new build, we were advised by many friends and family to be on the lookout for builders that were flexible, transparent, who met their deadlines to deliver homes & are able to deliver a well built home to our specifications.
