Birchview Dogs

Birchview is amazing! We were so nervous to leave our little Ruby for the weekend so we could get married! Laura reassured us she was in good hands and would have so much fun and she was completely right! Ruby had so much fun and she was is good hands! Laura even took the time to update us on how Ruby was doing! Thank you so much for taking care of our Ruby!!

We left our dog Halo here over the long weekend and they were absolutely wonderful! It was Halo’s first time staying in a kennel and they did an amazing job of making us feel comfortable when we were so nervous. They provided updates for us, and handled Halo’s needs, including giving her daily medicine, wonderfully. Halo had loads of fun since they have a great space and give them lots of playtime. Because of them, we were able to enjoy our vacation. We will definitely be back.

I was very nervous to leave our dog in a boarding facility as this was his first time. From the moment we dropped him off I felt at ease. The owners are very easy to talk to and very responsive to any questions I had and provided updates of how my dog was getting on. They took excellent care of my dog, going the extra mile when he wouldnt eat his food, they really care about dogs and I will definitely be using them again for our next vacation. Our two Huskies pups Arrow and Stark really enjoyed their 9 day stay at Birchview! They came home exhausted and happy. This was our first time boarding our pups and we were pretty nervous however the staff at Birchview were great and kept us in the loop with updates during their stay. We would 100% recommend Birchview to anyone looking for a fun and safe place for their dogs while they are out of town. Arrow and Stark will be returning for sure, thanks Birchview!

Never thought we would leave our dog for 2 weeks. Lara sends you pictures and a video to put your mind at ease just to let you know your puppy is happy. He even made new friends. You know your dog is being well taken care of. We would do it again. We would also recommend Birchview to anyone.

For the past two years, our Habiba has loved every minute of her time there, and yours will too!As owners, Laura and Jody attend development workshops and continuously seek opportunities to professionally grow their business to provide the most personalized experience for your dog. They offer a wide variety of options for your dog during their stay: frozen yogurt treats, pupsicles and stuffed kongs, agility training, nose training, group play, fetch, soccer, a doggie pool for cooling off, nature walks, and quiet resting time. The good diversity of dogs means they'll be able to group yours with suitable mates, yet the small size facility means your dog won't get 'lost in the pack.'What's more, is the care Laura and Jody have your dog (and you) while at the facility or at home. They are friendly and thoughtful - always willing to provide a quick recap of the day, a thoughtful Christmas card with your dog's portrait, videos or photos on Facebook, OR a bag of treats, including a Vancouver Canucks cookie, when we moved to BC :) When Habiba wasn't feeling well, they were able to keep a close eye on her, provide us with updates, suggest tips, and check-in on her after we were home.BC may have a lot of great things, but we'll be hard-pressed to find another boarding facility like Birchview... anywhere! Highly recommended as the best boarding facility in the area. Do not hesitate to contact Burchview!

Laura is fantastic! We needed help with a newly adopted 10 month old rescue pup and Laura made an enormous difference in Luna after a number of private full day sessions. We dropped Luna off in the morning and picked her up late afternoon. Laura is so knowledgeable and so thorough with take home information (which includes emailed videos), and instructions on how to keep the POSITIVE training going, which means a happier dog and a happier human family!!In addition to the private lessons we enrolled Luna/us in the 'Reliable Recall' 4-week group course which has also made a difference. Keeping up with the practicing, once again, makes for a happier dog and a happier human family!! Our 10 month old Labradoodle stayed at Birchview for two weeks and was well cared for.I checked in with Laura few days and she was very responsive. Registration, drop off, pick up and daily routines were very organized including COVID-19 protocols. I would highly recommend Birchview and would choose Birchview again for our dog. Thanks!

My Girls LOVED it!After having a different boarder cancel on me less the 48 hours before I was leaving, Birchview Dog Boarding came highly recommended from a good friend. Laura was fantastic getting this frazzled gal through the paperwork. Gorgeous, well maintained property. Laura kept me up to date on the dogs activities and photos on FB. You can see these folks love what they do! I highly recommend boarding your pups here!!!

What a great dog boarding facility. The owners, Jody & Laura, are both so kind and have a true love for dogs. I could tell right when I dropped my dog, Remington, off that he would be well taken care of. This was my first time leaving Remington for a few nights so Laura had no problem texting me an update of how he was doing. We could tell Remington was well taken care of and happy while he stayed at Birchview. I highly recommend boarding your dog at Birchview if you are looking for a clean kennel and play area, and owners who will take care of your dog like they are their own.
