The team at Nika is incredibly skilled! My girlfriend needed her sentimental bag repaired and they completed the job flawlessly. They surpassed my expectations and were friendly and professional. I will only trust Nika with any of our designer shoes or bags.

I was truly happy with my experience here today. I took in a belt that had been butchered by a previous cobbler when I asked for additional holes to be made (the first pictures are the butchered “before”). They said they would try their best to save it and I am confident they did. They also had it done the same day which I really appreciated. The store has some beautiful leather good and I’m sure I’ll be back for a visit. Thank you!!!

Fiancee brought in a pair of shoes for our wedding to have to half toppy soles done. Website claims price range of 45-65 dollars. We were charged $75?! Alright, no big deal as they are expensive shoes and we wanted impeccable work. Expected color matched soles and person serving us indicated that could be done. To be frank, a bit disappointed with how the shoes were returned as seen in the pictures, wish more due care took place. Next, the soles are not flush with the sides of shoes and the toppy sole looks to be shaded or coloured with a sharpee pen on the sides. Since time wasn't on our side she has to accept the shoes for what they are which is a shame. Also there were dirty/smugged fingerprints inside one of the shoes on the tags?Beyond these issues the work was fairly quick. However, I think we will take the rest of the work we were going to pass on, to another shop.

Neda was truly so kind and accommodating! She helped repair the zipper on my duffel bag that I needed for travel. She was super nice about it and did a great job with the zipper! Couldn’t recommend this place more, great family business, great customer service, and quality work! Will definitely be returning! :)

Brought my 8 year old Redwings in for a resole and they come out wonderfully. Not only that but they gave my boots a great clean and polish along with some tips for keeping them alive and well for years to come.

I rolled in with my Thursday boots that needed a new heel rubber and stitching on the side. The boots came back with these parts looking brand new and the leather fully re-polished. The sole rubber that replaced the old one is that of Vibram which is a trusted shoe-sole maker. I can see that they take their time in their crafting and repair process. I’d definitely recommend Nika Design.

great store, great people. punched a hole in this, shortened that, and custom made me a snap extender for my jacket so my phone would fit :) .... leather needs/repairs/custom work look no further! Thxs appreciate the great service!

With Artisan care and with Craftsman’s flair, these two do wondrous work. They run their show on Abbot Row as both Cobbler and Clerk.A suave little place in a neat little space and a vibe that drips with cool. Dino takes roots in his self made boots and Neda on her stool.For reasonable bids they’ve restyled my lids and refurbished shoes and boots. Anytime I ask, They’re quick to the task on Birkenstock’s and Roots. With a job unique they restyled my Beats with lamb skin on the head set. While adding swag to my leather bag in a way I’ll never forget.They renewed my tote and my leather coat and my wife’s boots got new soles. These two can make old things brand new with the spirit of Old Souls. They talk and laugh in that elevator shaft while crafting things with love. They leather tagged my hockey bag and repalmed my hockey gloves.For jacket, wallet, bag, and shoe, there’s nothing they can’t do. They restored good Karma to my Bharma and my beloved Air Jordans to. Here’s to Neda and to Dino; May you keep your steady hands. Keep on showing Love to Leather and long live the NIKA brand.I have dealt with this shop on many occasions for a variety of repair and adjustment needs. Highly recommend supporting this small business!! The store was previously in the Winters Hotel Building in Gastown and was completely destroyed. Amazingly they kept all the customer repairs in a fireproof cabinet and Neda (owner) called to say that they were reopening at 390 Cambie and that my order is safe and sound- beyond surprised! Unfortunately though everything else in the store was destroyed and they are starting from scratch so if you have anything that needs to be repaired or are looking for some beautiful leather goods then this is 100% the place to visit,

As a short, smaller footed (size 6.5-7) but bigger and muscular calved person, I thought I was destined to never own a pair of zip-up boots. I know lace-ups exist but my eyes always fall on the cutest zip-up boots that would never zip all the way up.That is until I came across Nika Design. I purchased a pair of zip-up boots from John Fluevog I was just so determined to make work and Nika Design caught my eye as I was walking back to my car.Neda and Dino were so helpful right from our initial encounter. Neda spoke with such confidence and knowledge I knew then I came to the right place for help. Neda took my measurements and quoted me two weeks. However, because of my track record I did not know what outcomes to expect.Well today was two weeks right on the dot and Neda asked me to come in to try on the boots. With anticipation, I stepped into the boots and Neda began zipping them up for me... and they zipped up all the way to the top! WOW! After the initial shock wore off, I was able to take a closer look at what appeared to be magic :P. As in the attached pictures, Neda made the extended installments appear as if they were a part of the original design after all. The colour, the quality and the flawless workmanship all came together so nicely in a pair of boots that I now can wear as I please!My long standing wish became a reality at Nika Design and I am just so over the moon with their excellent work and customer service, I know I will never go anywhere else for all my leather works. Thank you, thank you, thank you again!
