McCarthy Uniforms

Had to go there multiple times for school uniforms. Horrible experience to say the least. We went there to get uniforms about a week ago and and tried on pants and shirts. Young guy with us at the table didn’t know what he was doing. He marked the wrong sizes and colours on the paper of the clothes we wanted buy but luckily I spotted the mistake and got him to change it. Later that day when we got back home, we realized one of the pants didn’t have its clip so they basically gave us damaged pants. Today we went back to return them and they wouldn’t give us back the money for the pants that THEY gave to us damaged. Seriously???? What a joke of a business. Not to mention everything is overpriced. One of the worst stores for clothes I’ve ever been to.

In the last couple of days before schools start it's understandable this place would be busy. There was line up upon walking in and and a long wait for assitance to get your items and lineup for people trying to cash out. The management is fully aware of how busy it gets at this time of year, they should have had a more staff on hand and not just one cashier. Prices here can be on the high side but you can find shoes for as low as $35 . The staff was accommodating and polite. Overall 3 stars for the long wait to get in and for the long line to pay for your items.

The socks shrink a lot and are no longer knee highs. The delivery is terrible and often missing items. They were not willing to replace missing items. It's really unfortunate that we have no other purchasing options. I can't refuse to shop there because I have three children in highschool next year. It makes me sick to my stomach.

My family visited this store today (Saturday September 10th), to buy a couple of uniform sweaters.You would think for the prices they charge, that the customer experience would be better.Just one cashier was available, for the dozens of people waiting in line. Just one, older (obviously grumpy and stressed) woman. She was handling all purchases, exchanges and returns. We genuinely felt so sorry for her, working in these conditions.The building's air conditioning system wasn't functioning and it was extremely, unbelievably, HOT. We waited almost TWO HOURS to pay for the two sweaters, while dripping sweat. Honestly, with our busy schedule, we simply had no choice but to wait... or we would have bailed almost instantly.Truly, a horrible way to start the weekend and shame on McCarthy's for subjecting their employees and customers to these conditions.There are so many complaints with this same issue and absolutely nothing changes. Staff the location properly (especially the cashiers), to accommodate the busy moments. If there's only room for one checkout, it's time to make a change... it has been for years.GREED and INDIFFERENCE.

I arrived at 4pm and there was a huge line up to get into the store. I walked in to ask if I needed to wait outside for the return and I was told I had to wait in the line outside. Then after 30min of waiting someone else walked in and was serviced right away. I went in and asked why I was told I had to wait outside and the staff just said she thought I was doing an exchange. I clearly said I has a return, ever mentioning anything about an exchange. Even knowing that I had waited and was wrongfully informed I had to wait longer in the return line. Customer service is horrible.During the summer the staff were younger kids and they were amazing and super helpful. The staff now are older and don't seem to care.Prices are ridiculous as well. Just sell iron on patches and I could create my own uniform.

The sheer incompetence of the cashiers is mind blowing. Simple transactions take anywhere from 5-15 minutes per person. There is only one line for purchases and returns and no logical system. But you are stuck getting the uniform from them so they dont care. Just a brutal experience every single time.Update: judging by the prompt reaponse on Google, I assume it's an automated standard response, asking me to contact them. I'm still waiting for a response for an email I sent Aug 28 regarding a late shipment. I since received the item, in the wrong size, which is why I had to return it. Normally that wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't for the unreasonable wait every single time I visit the store. This is what happens when there is no direct competition for the store.

WORSE Management!. Shame on you all!Big line up front of the store.One cashier only. Only open two days.About 50+ customers trying to get in !No air conditioning! 100 people inside.Government should review these guys licenses.Be prepared to spend 5 hours!This business should close down !September 10/2022

The young lady helping me was very friendly, but I do wish that she told me I had the option, if I waited a week, I could extend my return period to September 15th, as seen on the receipt, giving me 14 weeks, instead of 30 days. Disappointed.I knew uniforms would be expensive, I just didn't realize how crazy it would be. I paid $81 for 2 long sleeve golf shirts EIGHTY ONE DOLLARS!!! If u don't believe me, see my receipt. You think gas is expensive??? Could this be one of the reasons people are opting for public school, do I pay rent/mortgage, put food on the table or buy a uniform? Sadly the quality wasn't great either, could barely make out the school's name and threads hanging loose from the emblem, wow and it cost $40 ???

You would think, that a place that supplies school uniforms for school, would have more staff on hand during the first week of school! I waited 20 minutes to be called from the front door and another 25 minutes to purchase 2 shirts. This was at approximately 1045 a.m. They opened at 10 am Wednesday and were closed the Tuesday ( the first day back for some kids). No apologies offered or an explanation. Please do better McCarthys. For what is charged for school uniforms, I would expect better customer service.

This store can get very busy during the week before school starts. Staff are mostly friendly and work with you one on one to get the clothing you are looking for. They are very organized, allowing them to help fill your order quickly. The clothing is good quality and I'd your child doesn't grow much, in high school, they can easily have the same uniform throughout their 4 years and still be able to sell it or hand it down.
