Motel Minden

The motel is picturesque, newly paneled with fresh cut wood, including split logs. The rooms are clean and cozy and well equipped. The area is landscaped with lawns, many flowers, bushes, a pond and flowing water, and also firepits surrounded by adirondack chairs. And the hosts were friendly and generous with time and help. I had a wonderful stay for a week in mid-August and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The hotel staff was very friendly and it was a great location. Unfortunately the rooms are not clean. The floors were very dirty. It definitely needs some repair and updating. A very basic hotel. The TV was good and the beds were fairly comfortable.

If you have a pet DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! They will find any reason to keep your $200 dollar deposit. They kept mine due to some hair on the 100 year old stained comforter. I spoke to the hotel owner and we agreed on $100. After trying to get my refund, it kept declining at the machine. Was told I was going to receive an E-transfer within 2 hours and nothing!!! So by the sounds of it this motel is financially in dire straits and spent my deposit, hence saying my $200 deposit would not be refunded fair some pet hair at a pet friendly" motel. Well I have spread the word to the jeep groups and will cost you more business. over a wrongful taken deposit!"

Clean rooms and very quiet also the view was great out the big back window looking on the bush in the back. There was a love seat and 2 chairs with a small table with 1 queen size bed which was quite hard and a bit hard to sleep on for me. Over all great experience and it did help that there was a Timmies across the street

The room was clean. Initially they charged me the wrong price, assuming there would be two adults in the room. Secondly, and most upsetting, housekeeping came into our room at 8:30am while we were sleeping, then again at 9:15am while we were still in bed. No knocking. When I questioned them, they said they didn't see a car in front of our door. Not happy.

Good location, but in massive need of upgrades. Everything in room was damaged in some form or another. Mattress was clean. Definitely not tourist accommodations. Would give 3 star but the price was well above the worth here.

Clean rooms, good service. Not too crazy expensive.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Our room was falling apart, smelled like smoke and mould. Fridge leaked water all over the floor so we couldn't take our shoes off. Bathtub wouldn't drain. Light in the room was burned out. Box spring was ripped. Smoke alarm looked like it was more than 20 years old. Checked it and of course it didn't work. Not impressed

Rooms are cheap, but I hope to never come back here. Room is old style" classic motel. Room smelled faintly of urine

The Motel Minden is one of the worst places to spend the night. For whatever amount of money to pay for a night it is not worth it. The clerk gave us the wrong room with an awful smell and burnt holes in the sheets. They apologized and gave us a better but still awful room. It had hair everywhere and it smelled bad. The furniture was cleaned poorly and it was a horrible night. For the price it is NOT worth it. They should pay you to sleep in it. Would never recommend to anyone.
