Yesterday, I went to this jewelry to find my handicapp son a present for his lady friend for her birthday..as I entered I was greeted by one nice lady..now I want to let you know that I don't wear a mask due to medical reasons...now as I was standing there the manager told me to but on a mask and I said to her that I have a medical reason and at that point she said show me the certificate or wear on of their masks...she was extremely rude and belligerent to me so at that point I walked out...not a good experience!!

My fiancee needed his ring sized down so we decided to have it done at Cortesis Jewellers based on location and some decent reviews. The woman placing the order was very friendly and helpful. She stated that having the extra gold returned with the ring would be at no extra charge with a special request. When my fiancee went to pick up his ring order, the woman working at the time was incredibly and unnecessarily rude over the returned gold from his ring. Sure, it was a small amount of gold but regardless, her lack of customer service and attitude towards the situation was very inappropriate. Was it too much of an inconvenience to charge the extra $16.00? I just don't understand why she made such a big deal out of it. In addition to her ignorance, when my fiancee told her that the woman placing the order stated to him that the special request of gold returned would be at no additional charge, this woman basically called my fiancee a liar replying back to him No she didn't". I would never come back to this place and would not advise anyone else to based on the way we were treated."

Rude, not friendly, never again would I consider shopping there again.

I USED to love this jewellery store growing up. I’m not sure what happened.. The manager is incredibly rude and I think she uses COVID-19 as an excuse to be even ruder to the customers. It’s very unfortunate..(Staff has been great though)

Terrible service. I will never deal with them again. I have spent a lot of money there over the years. Today I asked them for a watch battery which they have in stock but was told they were to busy to deal with me and no guarantees when they could do it. Unbelievable. I was going to be spending upwards of 6 to 8 thousand on wedding rings next year but I want nothing to do with this store anymore. I believe in supporting local but service counts.

My now husband got my engagement ring and wedding band here. They are always polite . There's no pressure from them to buy anything. I love that I can go in anytime to get my rings polished and my pandora bracelet cleaned for free.

I give this place one star , and that’s just for the manager actually going to work that day . I ordered a i ordered a fairly expensive bracelet for my citizen sky master watch, it took 3 weeks for it to come in . When I went in to have it installed the manager told me to go home and install it my self because of covid I told her what ? This is $180 metal band do I look like a jeweler to you ? She replied that she was going on holidays and didn’t have time for this . I took it to another place in port hope and found out it was the wrong bracelet . I called back The manager and she told me to come back to get my money . She basically washed her hands of the whole thing instead of trying to fix the problem . I will never deal with these people again . This place , the service really ends with the sale !

The manager of this location has no customer service skills. She is rude and abrupt. Another employee had told me over the phone that if the repair or replacement I require was simple they could do it on sight. I went to the store and was told I would have to leave the chain for 3 days. It was a 2 minute change. That is when the rude manager piped up and said she had just gotten back from covid..I said it was to bad she experienced that but was not an excuse for poor business. I asked her for the contact number for the owner and she told me to Google it. I will never go back there again and certainly would not recommend that anyone else does either

This is the third time I have attempted to use this local business, and once again I regret making an effort to go to Cortesis. They never acknowlege the presence of either my husband or myself when we go, and have never offered assistance; it is for this reason that when my husband wishes to buy me a gift, in the form of jewelry, he goes to Charm in Perterborough, where the staff is always pleasant and helpful.

My husband and I were in yesterday and we didn't have any problems. We found the young lady polite and helpful.
