Food is great!! There's plenty to choose from and you won't be disappointed. 1 plate won't be enough for 2 but it's a lot for one, keep that in mind. They also have their own lagger beer, very good as well. Totally recommend, this is a really good restaurant, a must go when you're in Vancouver.

Came here for lunch as we heard some positive reviews about it and those reviews were spot on. The food was really good, from the roti to the shrimps and even their drink offerings were tasty.It's worth trying out their daily specials and it's nice that they switch these up, so depending on the day you come you might be tempted into trying something you haven't before.The lunch special was a fair amount of food for what you paid, which is nice to see.Service was quick and did came out far as well. Would recommend coming here.

During our visit in Vancouver, we came to Banana Leaf during Happy Hour. We've had dinner at other Banana Leaf locations during our previous trips and we always enjoyed our meal. This time, we ordered the Roti Canai, Mee Goreng, Singapore Laksa and the Singapore Hainanese Chicken. The food is consistently good and so flavourful. A small part of the chicken might have been slightly undercooked for some reason, but we brought it back and microwaved it.

Best dinner in Vancouver! Everything was amazing. We had the eggplant fries, breaded chicken and cauliflowers meals. It was super tasty and full of flavours.Portions are huge and the staff is careful and sweet. They gave us helpful recommendations when we were about to order a dish that we might not like.Furthermore, they have a lot of vegetarian options you can choose from.We noticed they also have a large choice of cocktails and mocktails.The restaurant is super popular, it was full when we were there.

This is authentic Malaysian food. The service is so great.The pineapple and papaya salad is clean and nice. The hot tea is sooo nice.The Singaporean Laksa lacked taste and flavour. Would not get again.Char Quay Teoh noodle is very good. Nice seasoning and nicely cooked. Would get this again.Overall this is a place you want to try.

I lived in Malaysia for almost 10 years, so you can trust me on this!I understand that authentic food of other places is expensive, but to be honest, Banana Leaf overcharges customers!Beef Rendang is one of the most delicious Malysian food, but at $26 in Banana Leaf, you won't get anything even near the food, so don't risk it!Char kuey Teow (pic. 3) is less than $3 in Malaysia, so 3-4 times the price is OK, but not $20!Tom yam did no better than what you get from T&T!On the plus side, the Teh Tarik was really good! Again it's really expensive at $6, but at least it was good! Mind you, the price in Malaysia is less than a dollar, but I liked it!The Kalamari was also good!

Simply one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The Singapore Laksa is to die for; it is flavourful, rich and the shellfish tastes fantastic and tender. The serving size is extremely generous and you can tell the care that goes into the quality of the meal. I’ll order it slightly spicier next time but overall, do yourself a favour and stop in. Even had Fat Tug on tap!

Quick, friendly, delicious, affordable. I had the daily Sunday special, Seafood Gulai, which came with rice. Sunday drink special was red wine sangria at 50% off. Also ordered the veggie spring rolls, delicious. Great service.Generous portions- I ate about half the order and took the rest. With so many food options on Davie Street, Banana Leaf always delivers a satisfying experience. Highly recommend.

We were disappointed . The 2 main dishes we ordered felt like they were microwaved, they were just luke warm. The chicken was dry ,and the lamb didn't have much flavour. The coconut rice was plain, and had to be ordered in addition to the main dish. The menu is over priced . Quality of Banana Leaf has gone down a lot . Howevwr, the service is friendly and great.

Banana Leaf was an okay experience. They are probably a restaurant that was good 10 years ago, when they first came out, and now have flunked a bit in quality.The dishes did not look too appealing. The servers were nice, however, which made the experience not completely dead in ambience.We ordered the Dine Out 2023 menu for 2. It came with a salad each, calamari, a Beef Randeng (I believe it was called that) and a fish plate.The only thing I really enjoyed was the dessert. I believe it was a Panna Cotta dessert. Very sweet and deletecable. I was quite pleased with the dessert.
