I have used this company twice and am would definitely recommend it. Al is very responsive, knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with.The cable on one of my garage doors snapped from corrosion over the weekend. I called Al Saturday morning and he was right there to help. My garage door was not standard, so he had to get the right parts. Even then, he was at my house first thing Monday morning with all the parts and everything was done quickly, professionally and hassle-free. Our garage suddenly stopped working with my car trapped inside. A quick call here fixed the issue in no time! I was given an estimate time between 3pm-5pm. I got a call at 230pm to let me know the technician was on the way and before 330pm my garage door was open and functional. The best part was our technician, Al, was extremely helpful and gave us all the options and the most cost effective way to repair the issue. At the end, I was only charged 25$ service fee. I really appreciate honest businesses and can't say enough good about this place!

My garage door spring broke late Saturday night trapping my vehicle inside. I was concerned about finding a technician to come out on a Sunday. I spoke to Al and he was at my home within 2 hours and the door was fixed perfectly in no time!! Al was extremely professional and quoted a very fair price. He also happened to be a super friendly and pleasant man. I would highly recommend his services!!

Al did a great job in repairing our garage door. He came in at promised time (actually from other end of town) and promptly repaired the door. Could see that he is a master of the art & did not waste any precious time as it was very cold for all of us. Really impressed with his professionalism and prompt service and would recommend him any day.

Amazing! Do not hesitate to use Al and his services! My garage had a broken motor and seals that needed to be replaced.I called Al and he was able to walk me through the problems and potential options for a wide variety of different budgets. He was very transparent and thorough throughout the entire process. He didn’t try and upsell any products and was completely honest with his evaluation (told me my garage door itself was still good and didn’t need to be replaced but pointed out aspects where there might be problems in the future). The work and installation of the motors and seal was smooth despite the weird clearance in my garage (old house). I would 100% use his services again should my garage encounter any other problems and would recommend people Penguin Garage Doors without hesitation.

20+ year old garage door malfunctioned and needed repair or replacement. Al responded to my Homestars job request immediately and arranged to personally come and provide quotation within a day. Al explained the issue with our door, provided us with all the options with a new garage door and provided very transparent pricing as well as his honest recommendations. For example Al said our garage door opener is still in good shape and doesn’t need replacement. Penguin’s pricing is better than other quotes we received; we also chose to work with Penguin because it’s a local small business where we’re dealing directly with the owner. On installation day, Al and his team were very professional and efficient; brand new door was installed by lunch time. The entire process took about one week. We are very happy with the final result and would work with Penguin again.
