[english follows] Imposantes installations sur la rivière Gatineau! Un seul véhicule à la fois peut passer sur le chemin qui longe la centrale (bâtiment en brique rouge) et sur celui qui permet de franchir le barrage (structures métalliques). On s’y engage avec une petite appréhension, mais en même temps on fait confiance aux ingénieurs qui ont construit cet ouvrage majeur.Impressive installations on the Gatineau River! Only one vehicle at a time can pass on the road along the powerhouse (red brick building) and on the road over the dam (metal structures). We enter with a little apprehension, but at the same time we trust the engineers who built this major structure.

Both my father and my grandfather worked here.

A nice example of an early hydro electric dam common to Quebec from the early twentieth century.It is nice that visitors are permitted to cross it and take in the scenery.
