Totem Mall - Edo Japan: Grill & Sushi | Welcome to Edo Japan! Stop by our street front restaurant in Totem Mall in Fort St. John, BC. We are easily accessible off 96A Street from the Alaska highway. Located next to Original Joes, Montanas and across the parking lot from Tim Horton’s. Winner’s and Staples are also in the same mall and there is plenty of parking available. We’re a Canadian fast food restaurant chain, famous for our Japanese food which we cook fresh on our teppan grill with our signature teriyaki sauce. Edo's specialties include bento box meals, healthy noodle bowls, sushi (hand-rolled in-store daily), spring rolls, gyoza, miso soup and more! The big difference between this place and others that I've seen is that they make the sushi rolls fresh while I was there. The rolls are of average quality, nothing special. Spring rolls were cooked in fresh oil. They also sell their teriyaki sauce in a bottle for 6.99. Their bowls and rice are fresh and tasty with decent amount of items. The store was clean and tables wiped down after customers left. One issue I had was the counter space at the cashier till, it's cramped and you kinda feel like cattle being herded down the lane. It opens up in an L shape but they put a bench there. I had a little kid kicking my legs while in line. Overall it's a decent place to get a fast sit down meal that isn't all deep fried garbage

We ordered 5 meals only one of them was right. Was missing a drink.The rice was over cooked.When the 1st girl came over with all the wrong food we wouldn’t take it. She didn’t say much to us but went over to the girl that was running the till and that girl came over and wanted to argue about things we ordered. That was even on the receipt! Once we actually got our right bowls the food wasn’t even hot. Maybe change of management or something but that was really bad. Don’t argue with the customers about things that are on the receipt.

Skip delivered soup spilled all over bag after an hour of waiting for another I asked for a refund. Received 50%. It’s policy to screw customers for half the money. Total sham. Pay 20$ for a soup and nobody cares. Deleted skip account and never will order from Edo again. Extremely poor. Never again

My husband, our sons and I love coming here. They are so friendly and kind. Our last visit we had ordered and sat down to wait for our order. The staff must have noticed we were having a little trouble with the boys so they brought the food to us (they usually call out a number and you go get it).One staff member in particular remembers us and loves our son. He is the reason we make it a point in coming back!

Ordered my usual chicken and beef teriyaki bowl with double the meat. Wondered why the bowl looked empty when i grabbed to go. Thought it was maybe not double the meat? Got home to eat it and realized there was not even a cm of rice in the bottom? Called them to let them know and the guy on the phone kept trying to tell me that there couldnt be a problem cuz his district manager made it. Horrible customer service. It was suggested that i order more rice next time? Appalled by this experience, Took a pic but not sure how to post it. That was my last visit there. Fort st john location

Good thing I paid the extra $3.50 for double beef. Cuz half of what I got would be sfa. I love Edo. Literally subsisted on it during University. I was so excited when they opened in my home town! I keep coming back about every 4-5 months hoping this place will become legitimate. So disapointing compared with any other Edo.Noodles always overdone.Rice always old and to wet.Chincy.

Weird thing to nitpick but they use WAY more garlic at this location than anywhere else I've been in BC. The only way I know is because my allergic reaction to the garlic content was much worse than any other Edo location I've been to.Very fresh though!
