I have immense gratitude for the Riverdale Midwives for giving me Sara Cooper. Choosing a natural home birth would not have been possible for me with out her. Sara was the pillar of strength I needed in my most intense moments of labour. Under her care I never felt like I was being pushed into anything, I never felt like I wasn’t being heard and I always felt like she had my best interests at heart. During labour Sara took control when I needed her to, and post-labour she slotted into our lives to the point where she is now missed.The second midwife, Laura, who assisted In the birth of our son Hunter also bought a valuable calm energy. I barely noticed (which is what I needed) she was there except when she offered support. Even the receptionist Vanessa is really lovely.I honestly cannot put into words how much Sara and RM means to me. She helped me bring my son into the world at home safely and without medication which was my hope and intention. If you get Sara on your journey into parenthood you will be very lucky.Thank you Sara and thank you Riverdale Midwives.

An absolutely incredibly passionate group of professionals that made our birth experience exactly what we needed and hoped for. Cate, Emily, Tia and Linda were kind, knowledgeable and caring. They are dedicated to their profession and above all, the health and safety of you and your baby. I would recommend Riverdale again and again and again. We’ve just “graduated” from our care and it’s so bittersweet. Midwives are so underrated and the secret to a positive pregnancy and birth.

There are NO WORDS to describe our INCREDIBLE experience with our midwife, KATHY MACEROLLO. I am 7 weeks postpartum and we are BEYOND GRATEFUL to have received all her care with our first baby boy. I would absolutely not hesitate to choose her again if I ever had another child in the future. We love her so much. Thank you Kathy! My initial connect was with Madison, one of Riverdale's receptionists and she was incredibly kind and supportive which put me at ease as a first time mom.

Amanda Tissera was my midwife (Sara and Linda backups). They were all amazing. I cannot recommend Riverdale Midwives enough!

I had Tia and Laura as my midwives. The care was wonderful. They were so patient and kind. I always felt like I was well taken care of. They were easy to reach for support and to answer any questions that I have. Madison and Vanessa were wonderful in booking my appointments and sending me any medical results that I needed. My labour went smoothly and it was everything that I expected to be at the hospital! Thank you so much! I would 100% recommend them and do not hesitate!

Our baby just graduated from Riverdale Midwife Clinic at 6 weeks. Throughout the pregnancy, labour and post-partum, Sara (primary midwife), Amy (student midwife) and Sabina (backup midwife) were terrific. They were attentive, caring and knowledgeable. I felt heard and cared for in all of my appointments. Sara and Amy gave me all the information I needed to make my own choices for my pregnancy and birth, and I never once felt like I was pushed one way or another. My birthing experience was extremely positive thanks to the dream team I had. I can’t recommend them enough.

TW: Infant deathIt’s taken me a year to build up the courage to write this review. I am devastated by what happened with my birth and the death of my baby girl. I was under the care of Linda Moscovitch, Amanda Tissera, and a midwifery student. I had an ordinary, healthy pregnancy and went into labour at 40+5 weeks. I won’t go into details about what happened but after reviewing the autopsy report and seeking input from medical professionals, I strongly believe Linda and Amanda negligently mishandled my birth. They failed to catch signs of fetal distress during labour, had terrible communication amongst each other, and kept me and my husband in the dark about what was going on. Upon birth, my baby was rushed to SickKids where she died.Afterwards, I felt so mistreated and neglected by them. They gaslighted me, provided zero grief resources, and refused to accept accountability. I could tell they were trying to protect themselves from a legal standpoint but that coldness caused me an enormous amount of pain on top of my already unbearable grief.I can’t live with myself knowing they might be treating other parents like this. I have nothing against the clinic or midwifery care, but if you have a choice of midwives, I strongly urge you to avoid Linda and Amanda. I will never forgive them for robbing me of a life with my baby.

I can not compliment them enough! We received absolutely incredible care from all the midwives. Me and my wife do not have a health card but almost everything was covered by Riverdale Midwives. Because of them, we are now blessed with a beautiful healthy daughter and her mom is doing fantastic too. Cate and Kathy are the best people we know in Toronto, they took good care of my wife and my baby. I strongly recommend this place if you are looking for midwives. Best wishes to all of you!

Had my first with Kathy M (backup) and someone else (urgently called in) because we ended up having a home delivery when the plan was to head to TBC - eager first baby! I had a great experience with Linda M (primary) and Kathy M throughout my prenatal journey and they always took the time to answer all of my anxiety-laden questions (which I did not get from my OB experience at Mt.Sinai and was the reason for my switch at 12 weeks). I also very much appreciated not waiting around in drab hospital hallways for my appointments to start and get hospital runarounds. My experience with the Riverdale Midwives establishment has always been a personal and amazing one. I even had the privilege of their in person prenatal classes, a lot of the families from that class are still friends 5yrs+! Post partum care, at home, with Kathy M was also amazing!!! I dreaded the days she didn't have a visit with me :)Now I'm going through all this again, in this semi-pandemic world, with baby #2 and my experience is still as I've always expected it to be. I do miss the openness of the living room area, but such is the pandemic world we're in. I'm hoping postpartum remains at home and I wish for the sake of others that those prenatal classes take place in person again...the bonding was invaluable (and I hope they are happening virtually as well).
