Staff here were rather unfriendly. I was at the garden centre and two young employees were stood talking, rather than greet and ask if I needed help they continued talking to one another and kept walking away as I browsed the plants.

Just watched a terrible video and display of your worker accusing a customer of stealing a battery. Shame on you. You don’t have the right to stop people and demand receipts. Your employee didn’t do his due diligence first before his accusations of theft. I hope Canadian tire see this and strips you of your franchise rights and ownership for this pathetic display of staff. Shame on you

be careful if you make an exchange for a car battery here. captain Canadian tire (john) may come accuse you of theft assault you and steal your battery from you in the parking lot. then slam and lock the door to the entrance in your face when you try to go get it back thus making you use another door and speak to a manager eventually clearing it up and installing the battery they stole for you. you can view video of the interaction on the facebook page stolen on the avalon" * i am not the victim i just saw it happen*"

Any time I've gone to this location it's always been a great experience. There's so much great products. The store is well stocked and organized and workers are always friendly and helpful to me.Today I received assistance from a couple of workers in automotive. I'm very appreciative for their help.

I purchase master chef 12 piece stone ware, it was on sale so I grab the opportunity they said only 3 bowl are missing I never check because I trust what they said it was in good condition. The next day I check it at home it was broken to pieces only 4 pieces I have left. It was very deceiving to the customer. They should not put in the display product that are totally broken it is rubbing the customer. I lost the receipt and also going back there is not worthy of my time plus fuel which is very expensive right now.

Costumer service was horrific, they need to get it together over there.I went there twice today 30 minutes out of my way because something they have over 15 in stock of was so hard to find. I was first told it came in 2 days ago and was probably still on a truck (it’s impossible to still on a truck if it’s been scanned in). I then called back about an hour later hoping to talk to someone else who could better help me, I was told they would put it on the shelf because they had x amount in stock. I got there 30 minutes later… lo and behold it wasn’t there. I then asked to speak to a manager who was helpful but still could not find it. He then told they haven’t gotten any since February and it definitely would not be on a truck.I understand things can be hard to find, but there is no need to lie to a paying customer.

I recently purchased a tent, sleeping bags, and other camping gear online.For the pick up, I was asked to the Mount Pearl store.The personnel at this location helped me pick out some items in the store and showed me the pickup counter. For me, it didn't take more than 15 minutes.Special appreciation to the accommodating crew.Wheelchair users can access this location.

The location had the items I was looking for. Place seemed clean and staff busy working on changing displays, restocking and inventory type duties. I didn't need help but the couple of times I overheard people needing assistance, staff were happy enough to help.Like many stores now, self check out is being pushed and promoted but hiring less front end staff to be on shift and a set of self check outs does nothing for efficiency of cashing out. If every untrained or not so willing or capable member of the public cannot/does not know how to cash out, we now have one staff member for 6 slow check outs.I'd rather two or four cashier's who hopefully are trained and professional that help gracefully cash us out to happily conclude a shopping trip.Waiting for a huge line up and then open a second cash only for a couple minutes is pointless. The cashiers then become untrained from lack of hourly practice and slower as well. If I can't get out of a store in decent time, then I won't go in at all.I didn't like what I saw having to make seniors, disabled people, people with small kids to wait and wait and wait. I was taught back in the day, in Ontario, at a discount grocery store: no matter how large the order the customer needed to be checked out in 5 minutes or less. It didn't matter all 13 checkout lanes were open with cashiers, on Sunday we had line ups to the back of the store no matter how fast we went. We were given timed tests, check out tests to see if we check out everything correctly, know our produce codes and how to correct our errors, deduct coupons, cash in gift cheques, regular cheques, credit cards both swipe and manually, tax exempt cards and check for counterfeit currency or coupons. We were evaluated to see if we checked inside and under the shopping cart as well to assist with loss prevention/theft.We were trained the longer you make people wait, the less money they will spend the next time IF they come back a next time. We were taught that it increased motivation for theft or merchandise damage along with incidents or road rage out in the parking lot between aggravated shoppers. We as cashier were taught how our duty was important even if it's a minimum wage job. We were shown how we are vital to the corporation and given training and resources to be our best selves. We were taught how extra long wait times become a fire hazard at the major exit with all the carts and people, how the extra long wait times when habitual become a source of impatience and disgruntlement of customers and increases hostility at our work place/public space. Cashier's were scheduled for the busiest of hours and IF it ever got slow we had to hop off lane and help other departments or front face stock & tidy registersMaybe having a lack of transportation and few stores make it ok to inconvenience customers to save a dollar here. Or keep taking advantage of customers who are nice, who try to be patient or famous for being so laid back and impose on them to not only have to pay with their money but now have to pay with their time. It's costing us more to be underserviced. We can't get back time, and time is money. In a busy, cluttered store; a fast exit is the only desirable thing about that shopping experience. This isn't about being impatient or entitled. It's about what is reasonable. One cashier to 6 newbie not paid cashiers (the customers) and one cashier at a register is ridiculous. It encourages me to just put down my items or abandon a shopping cart when the line up is more than 6 people waiting more than 10 minutes waiting to TRY to cash out. The self check out and register are just as equally fumbled and slow. It's not a good corporate image.I hope there is some thought in future for the scheduling and availability of cashier's. My only self coping, purchase positive option to remain an active customer is to order online for pick up. Which is fine for me but it doesn't change the physical check out experience overall. At least the staff on the store floor seemed to be in over abundance and on task.

Awesome experience at the automotive service centre today. The lady working at the desk, Amy. Was beyond helpful. She was very knowledgeable and competent. Made sure that I knew all of my options when selecting a tire and even recommended a better option for what I needed as opposed to just selling me their in house brand. And just to top off the whole experience my tire was mounted and ready for pickup within 30 minutes so that I didn’t have to continue to dangerously drive around with one summer tire on my vehicle. Great service.
