Swiss Chalet
Want to say the 4 stars is mainly because of excellent service. Food is more of a 3 star average meal. I've never ate at Swiss Chalet but curious about their sauce. It's strange yet good kind of a BBQ gravy definitely has cinnamon it's different in a good way. Chicken was a little dry but tasted decent.

We came here to bask in the warmth of the Swiss Chalet ambiance after checking out the festival of lights. The service was top notch and the place was spotless! Our server made sure to check our vaccination cards and the cleaning protocols including masking were upheld during our dine in visit. We ordered the kids festive meal and 3 quarter chicken dark festive meals (1 take out) and were very happy with the food that we were served in the restaurant and the to-go packaging on the takeout and our leftovers. The gift certificates for $10 off plus the Lindt chocolates were a nice touch too.When my child thought her first Shirley Temple was too sweet, the server kindly accommodated our request for a different beverage -really just a lovely experience. We closed out the place but the server didn't rush us and I was really impressed with the way she handled hungry, cold looking families that tried to dine in after the kitchen had closed for dine-in. She kindly redirected them to the Take out window and was able to diffuse the situation quickly with the customers who were frustrated and clearly hangry. Not an easy job by far especially with the rapidly evolving rules for restaurants in Ontario so thank you for your service!

Love swish chalet always speedy service , great customer service. I just hate that curb on the way inMenu shown below along with soup, great deals during the holidays and always a speedy service.

One of my favorite places to visit when I'm in Buffalo. Clear restaurant! The food still tastes the same as it did when I was a child. I wish they would bring it back to Buffalo but luckily it's a short 10 minute drive after your cross the Rainbow Bridge.

The chicken was dry and overcooked. The French fries were a small portion and the waitress paid more attention to my female friend then to me (male) and by the way her food was not dry and her fries were a big portion and I paid for both bills. Next time make sure the male customer gets equal attention and same quality for the food because you never know who's paying the bills and who's tipping horrible service and now u lost 2 customers me the male and my friend the female and I'll tell everyone I know not to go to your location ever again

I'm from Buffalo, NY, and I only travel to Canada for Swiss Chalet and it hits the spot everytime. Their food, the chicken and that sauce is to die for. I go there for lunch, then I get takeout for dinner. The longest part of the whole trip is crossing the border!I'm not sure if this is common in Canada, but from an American perspective, their service was a little slow. Mind you, we went there on a Thursday afternoon so service would've been inevitably slow. Probably understaffed, but that's totally ok when we got our food hot. It took longer for someone to take our order than for them to give us the food.Overall, I only remember the great food, not the slow service. It didn't ruin a thing for me, but it might for someone who lives closer and goes there regularly.

Our server was amazing. Laura was on point and always looking out for our needs. We tried the new popcorn shrimp appetizer. And it was amazing. Highly recommend it. It had a little kick to it, but I don't mind that at all. The only concern was the fries. They weren't as tasty and as comforting. They've updated the dining room which is fresh and new.

Amazing amazing experience here! We loved the service, the food and the price. We always hate going to Niagara Falls for dinner because restaurants downtown are usually over priced gross. Thankfully we thought about coming a bit further from the falls and it was a great decision. Our server Amanda was AWESOME.

I love Swiss Chalet, but unfortunately as I have yet to receive a proper response to my complaint, I will leave a review here.I order far too often, and always get a soup and chicken on a bun. I have found bones in my sandwich from time to time, but it's never bothered me, as I am always aware the possibility is there.This time, the bone was in my soup. Now, maybe I'm alone in this, but when eating soup, I don't tend to chew small pieces of meat/vegetables. Normally, this isn't an issue, until I found myself nearly choking on a sharp ended bone. Thank goodness I was able to remove it before I swallowed it.I called the customer service line, and the very nice representative (France) sympathized and assured me that I would get a call from the store in question regarding the issue. I have received no calls, and only a canned e-mail from the general manager (Wayne) at the store offering me gift cards if I sent my address to them.I want to be clear here: I did not call with the expectation of getting compensation. Mistakes happen. I called because I wanted the store to review their practices to ensure an error like this does not happen again. I can only imagine the pain and suffering I would endure had I not been successful in pulling the bone out of my throat.In conclusion, the two star rating is for France, who did everything right, and has my appreciation for her handling of the situation. It's a shame, but given the lack of concern by the store management itself, I will not be eating at Swiss Chalet again.
