Toronto Immune and Digestive Health Institute (TIDHI)

I have had several colonoscopies in the US and Canada in both clinics and hospitals. The TIDHI experience was by far the best. The prep and arrival instructions were crystal clear. The surgeon, Dr. Tandon called me ahead of time to discuss my history and what to expect. The staff were warm yet professional. The surgeon briefed me in person and debriefed me after the procedure. Highly efficient too. 90 minutes from the time I entered the clinic until I left. Brilliant healthcare.

I'm extremely impressed with all the staff at TIDHI! The receptionist, the nurses, the anesthesiologist and Dr. Israel. Everyone was extremely kind, compassionate, nurturing and with a great sense of humor. They explained and walked me through everything in detail and made me feel really comfortable. They accommodated my request to not be put under for the procedure and it was really awesome to see everything on the camera and be able to talk to them. They also asked me if I wanted music during the procedure, so we listened to some Justin Bieber. The whole experience was very pleasant and I can't speak highly enough of the entire team! Thank you!

Been going to this clinic for a couple years. Their reception/communication is abysmal. I have fallen through the cracks many times, to the point where my health dangerously suffered from lack of response. You really need to self advocate.Last year I had written important emails addressed to their “reception” email address that went completely ignored. Was instructed to only ever email my nurse directly, because “no one checks the general email”. Fast forward to this week, I email my nurse directly for a perscription renewal and don’t hear back. Upon finally reaching someone, they tell me my nurse is on Mat leave and I should have been emailing the reception email???Might be wise for them to have an automatic reply for employees who go on extended leave, so patients aren’t waiting days and days for replies.Their system sucks. I’ve had only terrible experiences with their communications from the day I started here. It’s unfortunate because the doctors are really great.

A pleasant place. Well maintained and clean. The setup in simple and pleasing. You go in, the receptionist greets you and takes you inside. There you change to a gown. In my medicinal history, for the first time I was explained on how the gown is supposed to be worn; very helpful as you don’t have to struggle and figure out.The nurse then takes your vitals and preps your IV. You then meet the amazing procedure crew. All are very helpful. Takes about 20mins (I guess). You then have to wait for your ride back home.

I had a procedure done at the Toronto Immune & Digestive clinic. Upon my arrival I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist and when I entered it looked like I was entering a spa and not a clinic. Very modern and open concept and very clean . All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Dr Michael Bernstein who treated me was very caring and answered all my questions with patience before and after my procedure. This clinic makes you feel confident and relaxed and I would recommend anyone to use the facilities.

Scope procedures are never fun but the team at TIDHI exceeded my expectations through both their professionalism & the level of care they provided. Overall, it was a much better experience than I anticipated and I'd absolutely recommend TIDHI to anyone hoping to avoid congested hospital outpatient departments.

I have had 5 colonoscopies before and this was the best experience I've had. Unlike many clinics, they use propofol and I was out in seconds and remember nothing. Very friendly staff and no delays. Thank you!

I was referred to TIDHI for a colonoscopy. I was a bit nervous as it was my first time to have this procedure done.The place is very easy to find and a plus of the free parking. When I stepped in the clinic, it's bright with simple decor and nice. Reception secretary checked me quickly and I was taken to the prep room within 10 min.Everyone was very professional and efficient. They explained each step very clearly and made sure I was comfortable. By the time I woke up, the procedure was done and I was in the recovery area. One of the nurses told me about the preliminary result and said the doctor office will call me and set up follow-up phone call.After I changed back to my own clothes, they gave me a juice box and a pack of snack (I was sooo hungry). They made sure I was totally fine before walking back to the waiting area. When I got back out to the waiting area, my niece has arrived to pick me up.Everyone in TIDHI is nice and professional and efficient. I would recommend to anyone who needs a gastroscopy or colonoscopy.

My appointment was scheduled for 9am and I was told to arrive at 8am. I’m here, it’s 8:25am, no one is here. I’ve called and emailed multiple times. They make you call and confirm your appointment two weeks prior, I did and heard nothing back. I filled out my form in January. I even checked my junk mail like they said on the last review exactly the same and nothing. They said to call before a prep but they don’t answer the phone so I’m confused and tired, not an easy appointment to just reschedule due to the prep. So unprofessional.Edit: it’s after 9am, I left.
