The first time that I came to see Dr. Boyd, I knew that I had a lot of dental work that needed to be addressed. I found that Dr. Boyd really listened to my concerns and I loved the fact that I was not pressured, but was informed of my options. I went forward with the work and I am very pleased with the results. I smile a lot! Great, friendly service and a dentist that goes above and beyond, that is a winning combination. I have been receiving my dental care from Dr Ian Boyd for the past few years and have always received exceptional, professional care from Ian and his staff the entire time. This week Dr Boyd and his staff went out of there way to fit me in on their lunch break to provide treatment to an extremely painful cracked tooth that was not responding to pain medication. Dr. Boyd's office is a pleasing atmosphere with a friendly staff and the most up to date modern equipment. He always addresses your concerns professionally, quickly, and with the highest of standards. Dr. Boyd offers you a Proposed Course of Treatment" plan which you can progress at your own schedule. I was a white knuckle patient before I started with Dr. Boyd over 10 years ago but now I actually look forward to my visits."

Because I think of them so highly, I recommended Fine Dentistry to a friend who has been terrified of dentists her entire life. I said everyone at the office was really, really nice, that they would listen to her and make sure she was involved with her treatment and comfortable at all times. I said the office was lovely, nice west coast decor, large screen TV's to watch while your dental work was being done and the quality of that work was excellent. And they give you a great hot lavender wash cloth when the work all was done.But mostly, it was the people, Ian, Joy, Clare, Chandra, Marilyn (and my hygienist who is excellent, but whose name I can't recall- sorry!),that make allow me to recommend them without hesitation. They feel like friends, as well as trusted professionals.I told Joy about my friend and she suggested we stop by for a visit, just a meet and greet, so my friend could come back for a treatment feeling familiar with the folks at Fine Dentistry.So, long story, a little bit short, my friend is now a confirmed believer and is receiving her dental care from Ian and his staff without the anxiety that has plagued her for years.

I used to be very phobic of going to the dentist. I didn't like the injections and I didn't have a good experience. After going to see Dr. Boyd I have slowly begin to change my mind. He helped keep me at ease and Dr. Boyd was helpful throughout all of the appointments that I needed to have to make sure my teeth were healthy.

Dr. Boyd was recommended to us by a friend about 10 years ago. The friend has since lived in Vancouver and Parksville and continues to come to Sidney to see Dr. Boyd. My wife and I continue to use Dr. Boyd's services as well. Fortunately we still live in Sidney but if we moved I'd be sorely tempted to continue with he and his office because they are good. Very good. Everyone from the receptionists to hygienists are professional and friendly and good. They submit my dental claims to Blue Cross immediately and correctly. The hygienist is fabulous and Dr. Boyd is great. He cares and he is good. I just had a bridge put in and everything works like nothing was ever done to my teeth. That's nice. My wife and I highly recommend him. Comfortable atmosphere as well. Everything is state of the art. I feel comforted to have Dr. Boyd as my dentist.

Can’t say enough good things about Dr Boyd and his staff. They have been totally understanding, patient and caring in their handling my high levels of anxiety at being at the dentist. Along with their very caring ways, Dr Boyd & Assistants have put in 3 crowns (at different times), and each time I left with my bite exactly correct and no discomfort (which has not always been my experience with other dentists). Best dentist and staff, ever. Thank you Dr Boyd!!!

Dr. Boyd is a most competent dentist, simply one of the best. He takes the time to explain each procedure in a professional yet personable manner. I would highly recommend Dr. Boyd and his team at Fine Dentistry.

Ian Boyd is without a doubt the finest dentist on Vancouver Island. I have been a client for nearly 10 years and couldn't imagine going anywhere else. Not only is his office state of the art and incredibly clean, it is also the most comfortable and stylish dentist office I have ever seen. Ian is also one of the kindest people you'll ever meet which is sure to put even the most nervous of patients at ease. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone you didn't love in this office, the staff are incredibly welcoming, helpful and professional. All this and a fully stocked coffee/tea bar, fresh baked cookies, comfy couches and a huge flat screen tv....you won't ever want to leave!!
