After attending the CWMC for just over a year, I've lost 30 pounds and am on track to meet my weight goal in the next 6 months to a year.This is an amazing team of humans. After working with a doctor, nutritionist, and psychologist team, I've been able to make progress I had hitherto been unable to achieve. They examine all aspects of one's life: nutrition, exercise, psychological aspects, lifestyle, medical history, everything, to come up with a plan that works for you specifically.I can't recommend these folks enough.

Very poor shameful communication, placed on medication, refill required, blue cross requisition required by MD, not a new requirement, took weeks to try and get it completed.Waiting 3 weeks plus for refill, going thru withdrawals, feeling sick. Hung up on, spoken over. No phone call to date about medicationAll they want is your money, no empathy, all empty worthless words.Very disappointing, sadly

I cannot say enough positive about my experience at this clinic. I am taking the CORE program, which is free. I go in once a month to see a Dietician and a Weight Management Doctor. The staff are all super positive, and I am seeing excellent results.While they do have other programs, I was not in a position to be able to afford for a more intensive program, but the CORE program is working very well for me.They have worked with me to develop life style changes. I feel that this is something I can stick to, and I look forward to my 4th visit next month. I would recommend this clinic for anyone struggling with their weight.

The support this place provides in your weight loss journey is fantastic. With their multi prong approach, addressing all of the facets of weight you really feel like you have a team behind your back that wants you to succeed. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Excellent staff. I love the team of professionals available to you; the multi faceted team communicate and work together to help you achieve your goals. I’ve lost 35 lbs and kept it off through covid!

Amazing support at CWMC. Dr. Walji and Kristyn Hall, nutritionist and dietician, are outstanding and provide invaluable support for weight loss and moving to a healthier lifestyle. I am very appreciative of their guidance and highly recommend CWMC.

Today, I had two-hours appointment with them. After 50 minutes sitting in the consultation room, no one attended, thus, I canceled my appointment and left the clinic. They do not respect patient's valuable time and just want to make sure their seats are always booked. Based on my experience, I do not recommend CWMC for those who have valuable time!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Since there is no room to comment, I use this space to reply to Clinic's comment below:Your excuse made me more disappointed. First, it is my two hours window for treatment not waiting time! Alberta health and my insurance are paying for two-hours visit not waiting in the room! Second, you could simply respect my time by calling me and postponing my appointment! definitely, I would cooperate with you! And the last! I have cellphone plan with unlimited voice message capacity. I have not received any call or message from your side for apology! Please don't disrespect me more!

I was pretty hopeful about this clinic but unfortunately my personal experience has not been the best with them. I am finally posting this review as I now feel more patients are being treated the same way and the management should/could draw some attention to these events, perhaps. Besides my primary concern about this clinic, I too had days of waiting in the room for either the health consultant or the Dr. These wait times were between anywhere 25-55 minutes. The last time I was at this clinic (February 2019) I waited for a full hour after meeting the health consultant for the Dr. to come in. After an hour of waiting with no sign of them showing up I left (just like the patient Babak below) the clinic and let the front desk know I can’t wait any longer as my child was waiting at the daycare to be picked up. I recall, the day when I happened to be late by 10 minutes and they could not take me in anymore and I had to reschedule.Had it been the only issue I would probably have let it go and move on but what really left a mark in me is their disrespectful attitude towards the patients. In my initial session(s) I was quite encouraged to follow a path that previously worked for me and Leslie Lous, the health consultant and myself discussed to continue following the same. However, in the next meeting I am not sure what triggered the frustration but the health consultant was quite aggressive in explaining how I am off to a completely wrong path and nothing just made sense to her anymore. I was sitting there shocked and had nothing to respond, seeing her so upset. When I left the room that day I tried to console myself thinking it might have been a very long day for her and that she perhaps completely forgot about the plan her and I together developed for my weight loss/management journey, just in the previous session. In my honest opinion I do, to date, feel very disrespected and criticized for something that herself once supported for me to follow and flipping out on me like she did with zero respect.

I don’t usually write reviews but I feel this needs to be said. I made an appointment back in July for today, September 14th at 9AM with Calgary weight loss management centre to get my life and weight back on track. Got there 10 minutes early only to be told my appointment was for 8:30AM not 9 as I was suppose to see to people, the doctor and someone else which was NOT told to me when booking and you think that this would be something they should tell you. So the receptionist then said “well your appointment it’s self was for 9 itself but you needed to be here for 8:30AM to see a different person before the doctor” I did receive a call from Calgary weight loss management but missed it and when I called back they were closed… but even so this is not something you should have told me at the beginning when I booked in July not 2 days before my appointment. Now I can’t see the DR until November 16th at… you guessed it..9AM… how convenient.I understand they tried to call me however.. if this information was relayed to me at the beginning this wouldn’t have been an issue because even if I missed the call I would have it written down like I had today’s appointment written down for 9AM.
