Best Western Plus Ottawa Kanata Hotel & Conference Centre

Great location -Close to highways. A lot of restaurants nearby . Staff are great, bar has great food and staff. Good quantity to good for very reasonable prices. Bed was super comfy. Very clean room.The only complaints I had was the water pressure was almost nothing and there was only one microwave to share near the ice dispenser which I thought was odd.

This is not a bad spot to spend a few days in. I brought the kids and they had a lovely time. The pool is open from 6am to 10 pm and I find that to be a sweet deal. The rooms have double comfy beds with a standardized set tv. All in all it’s a very nice setup with the little amount of space between them.

Avoid this place, your money is better spent by just setting it on fire and sleeping in your car. Old, dilapidated, in dire need of repairs and maintenance. Peeling paint, unidentifiable stains and odours, the staff simply placate you and then go on about their day as if you’re an apparition. I honestly have never been this dissatisfied with a hotel. I was in town to participate in a 3 day Fine Art Fair, needed a comfy place to rest and relax and regroup after hot long days in the sun. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place like the plague!

Great suite, very comfortable.Small issues no coffee in the room, no coffee cups either.Toilet wasn't working properly.

Positive: good location and staff was friendly. Thank you.Negative: strong bad odor (dog?) in the first room we were put into. Fortunately they put us without questions in a second room when we mentioned it, but this one smelled of cigarette but was at least more bearable so didn't ask for another one. The tables were sticky, the bathroom floor was dirty, the bath itself was too.I appreciate the fact they have a gym but it could use some serious maintenance/repairing. I couldn't find my way around neither the elliptical nor the treadmil even though they are definitely not the first I use. One of the two pulley systems made so much noise I was scared I would wake up the entire first floor using it ...

I had just two criteria for a hotel - a decent pool and inexpensive. The room was good and we were glad to have a balcony facing the back. I called the day prior and was told the pool closed at 10pm. When we checked in at 6:30pm again they said 10pm. We're in the pool for a few minutes when the maintenance man says it's closing at 9. On a Friday. So after choosing this hotel for the pool we had a whole 15 minutes of swim time. So needless to say we'd never recommend this place!

I booked a room and canceled it the next day. No problem they said. They charged my room anyway and it has been weeks trying to get someone to call me back to get this issue resolved. Apparently the owner/manager is out of country for months but there is a general manager that can’t be bothered to return a call and get this resolved. I will tell everyone one I know my terrible experience with this hotel.

Door in suite was not fastened on bottom Could not close door. Room only had 2 towels; there were 4 of us. Keurig coffee only had 1 K-cup. Wrong room was booked even though suite was requested I assumed suite was booked as ordered, and did not check my email Was corrected at check in, but given room prior to complaint about “no suite” did not have a patio door that worked well.Pull out bed in suite, barely adequate. No pillows for the pullout in room. Would not stay at this motel again.
