Worst experience ever! I was there yesterday from noon until 5pm. There were not many people waiting during this time. The nurse Tiffany that was working at the front desk in Care centre D was very rude and unprofessional. I understand that the ER is always busy however for someone waiting 15 min to ask a nurse that works at the desk of the ER department for medicine is hard to believe. I had to ask someone else then I got pain medicine. Very unprofessional for a nurse to treat a patient this way. I never expected this treatment here in Canada whatsoever. Finishing off the ENT doctor came at the end for 10 min used the nasal endoscopy, let me bleed as a result of not using the device lightly and said everything is good then left. It looks like not every doctor is qualified to use this device

Waiting for 7+ hours to get treatment for not being able to breathe. The nurses were literate enough to know that humans can survive without breathing. No help at all. There were 7 patients before us and 7 hours later there were still 2 patients. Doctors not visible. One of them just roams around using his phone. They take 7 hours to see 5 patients and the meeting is just 5 minutes max.If you want your loved ones to suffer and die becuase of pain or something else., highly recommend swiping your health card here and make them money from your tax.

My 89yr old frail mother passed away in bay A3 of the emergency department of CVH at approximately 10:45pm on Mon Jan 9 after being rushed from her assisted living home. (Unfortunately, my well laid out plans to have her pass at home with the help of a palliative care team that had been arranged failed us.) The ER physician (female) on duty was absolutely lovely and amazing. Very compassionate and caring. However, there was a nurse who appeared to be a charge RN (based on hearing her rudely barking orders to the poor younger RNs) who barged into the bay, and totally ignorant to the fact that I was holding my mom’s hand and in prayer over her, stupidly asked me “So what’s her condition and who are you?” I said “Please go speak to the doctor.” She then yelled out “GO TO THE LIGHT MAAM!!” and marched out. I was absolutely appalled and simply cannot believe that any healthcare provider would be so incredibly stupid. That’s all you can call this inappropriate behaviour - stupid! I would truly like this RN, who was wearing blue scrubs, is taller in stature, not a spring chicken with brown/blonde highlighted hair and glasses to consider your behaviour and ask you whether you would have appreciated having your last moments with your mother interrupted by a bully with no sense. You have created a legacy for me to remember for the rest of my life your face and message to my mom, moments before she left me. Shame on you! It is time clearly for you to either obtain some sensitivity training (shocking at your age!) or retire as you have no sense and no right to be in healthcare.. I have spent 25 years of my career as a healthcare provider in palliative and long term care and never have I ever seen or heard anyone behave so rudely and insensitively. Please don’t put anyone else through this!

I’m in the ER right now and their service has been horrible. We’ve been here 9+ hours with my partner in constant pain and we haven’t even seen a doctor yet. All they’ve done is take medical history and register us and put us in a room to meet with a doctor. This place is so slow and the staff will do their best to avoid you if you ask them how long it’s going to take. Horrible experience!

Emergency, Installation registration process good. Sent to RAZ to sit in a hall for hours. R is for rapid. This is the opposite of rapid! 3 hours so far isn't rapid when all that is needed in an xray. Horrible horrible horrible

!!!!!You will definitely die in this hospital’s emergency!!!!!!!!!!Seriously, you would prefer dying in peace in your home, in your own room instead waiting more than 10 hours in this irrelevant emergency called building!!!!!!!!!!Even prison would be a more caring place for an human being’s life and health than this hospital’s emergency!!!!!!

If I could give this hospital zero stars I would. Rudest nurses ever, and my mom has been situated in the hallway for three days. She hasn’t been able to sleep and all we get is the run around from the nurses.

Pathetic ER. Staff has no idea about anything and is absolutely clueless and heartlessly cold. The doctors give the same script to everyone. Better to go to a walk in clinic unless in dire need of medical attention. Waited for 7+ hours and still waiting for doctor to reply to staff if I can leave. I have told them that I haven’t eaten anything since afternoon but they could care less, their reasoning: “we have so many patients and you are free to leave”. We come to the ER for answers but we leave with still being sick if not more due to disappointment and frustration. Toronto General in downtown is far better as well as Mount Sinai.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the worst emerg to go to . If you are there transfer out. If you are going there; simply don’t.The way they neglect and treat people is ridiculous. This emerg seriously needs more ethical working nurses. And this is coming from a nurse herself.Horrible horrible service. 0 stars.
