Oakridge Endodontics- Dr. Rene Chu

I was referred here to get a root canal and was met with the best care. The whole process was painless and the staff helped me remain calm throughout the whole thing. They were also very thorough with explaining what is going on and will happen during the procedure. I had Dr. Jason do my root canal and he was very friendly, trying to keep conversations with me to distract me from any possible panic. Overall was a really great experience and I got what I needed swiftly and painlessly!

After a 2-session root canal performed by a dentist became painful and didn't settle after 2 months, I am so grateful I finally ended up in Dr. Chu's office for an assessment (and of course wished I'd just gone directly to Dr. Chu in the first place). I had been led to believe by previous dentist that going with in-dental office root canal procedure would be half the price of an endodontist. Not only was that not true, but a complete root canal can be completed by an endodontist in just one visit rather than two. As a nervous patient, I expected to have another gruelling experience with the re-do, but it was easy -- Dr. Chu and his team are prompt, professional, exceedingly courteous, with an obvious attention to detail and patient comfort & questions. I almost had a small nap half way through the procedure.The initial assessment was extremely thorough. The dentist's imaging had included a lot of xrays before and during the root canal; but the state-of-the-art imaging that they use at Dr. Chu's office was shared with me on a big screen, and the procedure was explained thoroughly and completely. It seems that sometimes inferior imaging (plain xrays) can mean that a dentist goes in for a root canal and is surprised by canal features.The other thing that I noticed was that Dr. Chu seemed to achieve the same level of comfort (no sensation whatsoever) with less freezing and no swelling that I could feel in my mouth -- which for an anxious person means a lot less anxiety (freezing can make the heart race).All this to say that I would advise anyone to skip the dental office root canal and see an endodontist who specializes in root canals, and if you take your root canal to Dr. Chu you'll wonder what all the root canal fuss is all about. No problem.

I was really anxious about getting a root canal but, I was well taken care of and reassured. Dr Conn and Gabe were informative, letting me know what was going on at all times and even cracked a few jokes. The procedure was seamless, fast and surprisingly comfortable. Dr. Conn and his team are fantastic. He walked me through the results of my exam and made sure I understood everything. He was professional, kind, and understanding. In discussing the treatment options he recommended the one that made him no money at all! You can trust Dr. Conn to be honest, fair, and ensure you get the best care possible.

I went in yesterday for a previous root canal (from another dentist) that was infected from inside. Dr. Rene Chu was amazing! I was fully prepared to be in intense pain after the freezing wears off and I am super paranoid of needles but Dr. Rene Chu and Gabe (Dental Assistant) were so comforting and amazing. I have never felt so calm while getting a dental procedure done. The aftermath is barely any discomfort. Thank you so much! I highly highly recommend them. They really take care and are extremely considerate!!!

I was referred to Dr. Chu by my dentist for re-treatment of my root canal initially done 12 yrs ago. Dr. Chu and his assistant were professional and finished the procedure in timely manner in one sitting.

Amazing, amazing, amazing! I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Irinakis and Gabriel. The best root canal experience I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend Oakridge endodontics if you have to have a root canal. Virtually painless, professional, highly skilled and friendly. Hands down I would prefer to have my root canal done by them instead of my dentist any day!

Dr Irinakis and her assistant Gaba were very nice that they spent the extra time on the SAME DAY I was referred to treat me as an emergency, since I was having a really bad toothache! They explained the root canal process patiently and in detail, and the treatment was virtually painless except for the tiny bit during the icing shoot. The treatment was done within 2 hrs and I wasn't uncomfortable at all, which was rare compared to my past experiences with other dental surgeries. I recommend anyone who needs a root canal to visit Dr Irinakis.

Dr. Conn is AMAZING! You hear so many bad things about root canals and Dr. Conn has me loving them! He is very professional and the service from him and his team is outstanding.The procedure was quicker than I thought it would be and it was borderline painless. I don't love getting anaesthetized but Dr. Conn has a gift! I kept waiting for the pinching feeling but it never happened, and before I knew it I was frozen. And once the procedure was done I had no problems at all.I'm not hoping for another root canal but if I need one I'm, without a shadow of a doubt, going to Dr. Conn again.”
