Worst company to work for.. they don't pay, they make you wait for months to get paid, they make you go back to the same job 5 times to fix your work after another trade messed it up, they don't respond to emails, rexrs and calls if you have a site issue them they blame you, bunch of liars. Very very unorganized....

I have been working at The Byng Group for a few months now. Being a recent graduate is difficult to find a job in your preferred field. Thankfully I had the opportunity of being hired as an assistant. In a short time, my duties and responsibilities have increased, and continuously provide me with great experience in Recruitment and Trades Management. If you're willing to learn and put your best effort forward, there is plenty of opportunities for advancement and hard work doesn't go unnoticed. All of my co-workers are friendly and always willing to assist, which makes working that much more enjoyable.It is a fast paced, demanding and multi-tasking environment which I enjoy as I was a restaurant manager for almost 10 years. Personally, I feel more motivated and intrigued in this type of environment. Whereas, some may find it stressful.

Horrible place. Stay far away from this company. They cut your hours, put a lot pressure. They want you can plaster repairs, painting, sanding,patches, etc in the same day. It is ridiculous. You need to buy some supplies to work. They don't have really good coordination. It was the worst job of my life

I started working for these guys a month ago. Why not? Extra cash right?Except, they don’t pay their employees on time, if at all.They make you go out of pocket, make you get all the supplies, they even send you out of town to do jobs and refuse to send you any gas, hotel, or travel money at all.My first job, I was told I’d get paid for within 5 business days. I received the cheque three weeks later, when payroll hit. Only the cheque for the one job. My other cheque that was due with that payroll, didn’t come in. They tell me they have it and will send it via purolater over a week ago, but they didnt.The other day I ask for a picture of my cheque front and back so I can deposit it, they send meA picture of an envelope with my name on it, saying it was sent a week ago via purolater.Now, nobody will answer me. Still haven’t received any pay. And this company owes me $2200Don’t work for these crooks if you actually want a job that pays you, and on time because it won’t happen.

This company contacted me about some possible tile install work, and arranged a job as an “interview”The job was organized in a weird way, that has very poor pay but I decided to go check it out for some extra work The pay is made worse with hidden demolition work that’s not paid for, but I was still willing.When I arrived to start the tile work, the site was a mess and the bathtub walls/studs and old plaster were deteriorated so badly, any attempt to attach new drywall would crumble the plaster. It’s was falling apart just at my touch. Their plan was just to screw new drywall to existing plaster and tile it. Not viable at all. It would literally be pulled off by handAfter 2 hours of waiting a project manager finally shower up on the site, and rudely ignored any concerns I had. He wouldn’t even discuss the possibility that all the plaster should be removed, the 80 year old rusted metal studs removed and replaced and then the boards installed for tile.I was instead cut off and told I didn’t know what I was doing about halfway through the explanation, and rudely asked to leave.The man couldn’t even be bothered to look up from his cell phone for 2 of the 15 min encounter, after being 2 hours later than the time ai was given to begin with.Tradesmen, Be wary of working for this company.Homeowners and apartment building operators should understand that these types of short cuts are not ok, and will not last.

I have been working for The Byng Group for over five years now. It has been the best five years of my life as I have been granted many opportunities to continue my progression throughout the company. I constantly worked hard and the managers took notice of my efforts. They provided me with opportunities to take on more responsibilities and eventually take on new roles. I wanted to thank them for their effort to maximize not only my potential, but every other workers as well. If you like an adrenaline rush, this is a fantastic place to work.

The Byng Group is a great company to work for. The staff is always willing to help and is very friendly. If you work hard and prove yourself there is always room for advancement. It is a fast paced environment, which keeps you busy and has you multi-tasking a lot. In the short time that I have been here I’ve seen the management staff be very supportive and take notice of people’s hard work. This one of the best companies that I have worked for by far and look forward to the future and many more years with The Byng Group.

I have been working for the Byng Group for 10 years. I have to say that I am extremely happy with the respect and care I receive. The management takes the time to reach out and ask if there is anything needed from my end. They consistently acknowledge and recognize my the effort and care I put into my work.They are truly caring, sincere and compassionate when it comes to any concerns I have raised. It is hard to find a place that actually cares about their workers the way the The Byng Group has shown over and over again.The Byng Group is a fast paced environment and when you work hard and put the effort in, it never goes unnoticed. There is always room for new opportunities and growth. I sincerely thank The Byng Group for the great experience I continue to have working for them.

Horrible project management. Waste of time for any contractor who does a good job and not just slap a bandaid on a unit and flip it. Material orders consistently sparse, zero instruction for job procedure yet high expectations a job is done a certain way. This company will put any mistake on your shoulders and take money out of your pay. Don’t waste your time!!!!

We hired them for apartment remodeling, as they said ' quick turn over'. They kept canceling the times then finally showed up for the job 5 days late, absolutely destroyed the apartments, found them sleeping in the apartments at night, running power equipment at 2--4am. Absolutely terrible service, the manager when called had no clue they were even doing work for the business. Stay away, stay far far away from this ' business '
