I love china town. There's plenty of shops, and the people are generally pretty friendly. It's thankfully not too crowded most of the time.Seriously DON'T USE THE PUBLIC RESTROOMS THOUGH. Bad idea. I had to use hand sanitizer to clean every seat before sitting down, because there was pee, blood, etc all over the toilets in every building I went to.

Fun but excessively crowded. Who decided that having extensive large kiosks in the mall was a good idea? There was nowhere to walk and I'm sure there was some level of contravention of fire regulations. The parade was excessively long for freezing temperatures (longer than 2 hours!), especially given that most of it was just people walking along.

Bit of a sketchy neighbourhood but the Sun Yat Sen gardens are worth a visit.

Vancouver China Town is a pretty good place to visit and is also very close to gas town & Dr. Sun Yet-San park.

Felt very unsafe there in the middle of the day, lots of drug users and homeless people. There are a few Chinese shops but a lot of empty retail spaces giving it a very run down, derelict look and feel. The Chinese park was the nicest part, be after visiting I couldn’t wait to leave this part of the city!

I love the living history of the area. I am an admirer of old buildings, and in a city like Vancouver where developers are destroying the city left right and centre, historic buildings abound here. Signs of change and gentrification are beginning to creep in, but much of its original character of the same. It has resisted becoming a lame tourist trap.

Great event, finally after a couple years. Great attractions, food, vendors and a great family atmosphere! Kudos to the @vcbia and the event planning team (Betty)

One or two streets you can walk and shop, rest it's not a pleasant experience, very smelly, dirty, lots of homeless people.

It's alright. The only place I go to is the dollar store and Tim Hortons. Unless you looking for reasonable priced clothes and collectables.
