Cantrail Coach Lines

Very cramped and uncomfortable. If Amtrak can run the starlite train from Seattle to Los Angeles why can’t it run into Canada.

Was told on the Amtrak website that there are outlets on the Cantrail coach. There was absolutely not. I was told a roomy bus. Nope. Very tight squeeze. Only alternative for going back to Seattle from Vancouver, BC other than a late night train. No wifi either. No cup holder or desk. It's a plane on wheels. Very tight seats and a narrow row.

One of the drivers for Cantrail, Brent, who I’ve had as my driver several times coming back home to Vancouver from Seattle has been nothing short of amazing. He goes above and beyond! Thank you Brent! You’re awesome :) Way to represent the company!

Took a bus trip from Seattle to Vancouver with them (accidentally. Booked through Amtrak but showed up to realized the trip was actually being fulfilled by a Cantrail bus)There were no charging ports on board, no cupholders, no fold-back tables behind any chairs to do work or eat, no working water in the dirty and dimly lit lavatory, and needless to say, no wifi. Nothing that would support a long, 4-hour bus trip that would be on a typical and basic coach line. Don’t make the mistake of booking with Amtrak/Cantrail.

No charging ports, no wifi, TVs are present but turned off. Legroom is less than any flight I've ever had. The washroom has a sink but no water, just some wet nap packets sitting on the counter for people to clean their hands with. Cold air flows through the reading lights making the bus drafty in the cold weather. The border stop was about 20 minutes with 10 passengers on a Saturday evening. Service was good; the driver was skilled, friendly, informative, and handled our luggage. It took 3.25 hours to travel from Seattle King St station to Vancouver's Pacific Central station with no traffic on the road - 45 minutes less than the Amtrak train.The service could be comfortable with a modern vehicle, and that's something people expect in 2022. It's not clear when booking the ticket that you're getting on an ancient bus without the travel amenities that people expect, and it's made worse with the bus's sink and TVs not operating. I'll be recommending against using this service unless the user is desperate. Cascadia high speed rail can't come soon enough.

Apparently it is part of the connecting bus for Amtrak, so if the Amtrak train is late, the bus have to stay and wait for the delayed train. There were about 30 of us waited for 5 connecting passengers from 9 pm to 11:20 pm in Seattle. The company didn't care about us who might already plan in Vancouver, such as a connecting flight or pick up arrangement. There is no apology or any reimbursement. Also the toilet on the bus was broken, and the whole bus smelled like urine. Very bad experience

We has Jeff as our driver June 20 thru June 27, 2023. He was the best driver and most knowledgeable of the areas we visited. We were on a trip-Canadian Rockies and Rocky Mountaineer. He picked us up at the airport, drove us all around to see our sights and back to the airport to go home. The whole time we felt safe and learned so much. We would give Jeff a 10 out of 10. Great job Jeff. Loved your sense of humor.

Unfortunately bus smelled like sewage and several people got sick. The driver had multiple abrupt stops. Horrible experience. Please stay away from this company.

Deceived when buying what we thought was a train ticket turned into a bus commute and… Seattle to Vancouver BC …then over an hour late and the driver decides to drop passengers off at hotels prior to the station stop. All dinner reservations had to be scrapped. Terrible experience
