Melanie Parent Events

In February I worked with Paige of Melanie Parent Events and it was an amazing experience! The couple was at ease the entire day, she made sure they enjoyed themselves, and kept in communication with everyone the whole day and leading up the wedding in a such a timely manner. This past summer I photographed a wedding that the team at Melanie Parent Events planned and they did an absolutely incredible job! After a beautiful ceremony at Leo Mol Sculpture Garden, Melanie's team transformed the Kings Head Pub into a beautiful candlelit, romantic & moody space. The team is incredibly personal and easy to work with!

Melanie was the first and only planner we interviewed. Right away we knew she was the right person to organize our dream wedding. My partner and I moved away from Winnipeg but still wanted a Winnipeg wedding, and Melanie was so flexible working within our travel plans and handled everything we were not able to do in person.We paid for the full package including extra for clean up help. Let me tell you - THIS IS SO WORTH IT! We felt like guests at our own wedding. Our families told us how great Melanie was, she loaded up their cars and everything with all our returns for the next day. They didn't have to worry about a single thing.We forgot to buy the champagne - Melanie handled it and didn't even tell us there was an issue. At the end of the night I wanted more cake (because of course) and she found the cake and brought it to me immediately. I wish I could give 6 stars.Melanie, we so appreciate everything you did for us. Thank you so much!Taylor and Dakota

Melanie and her team were so amazing to work with! They were able to keep us organized throughout the whole process while helping us work towards our vision of the day. She offered fantastic advice as we were trying to make decisions, and kept us feeling on top of all the little details.We really appreciated Melanie's insight and expertise, and her company and calm demeanour on our wedding day. We worked with Melanie for a wedding we were asked to provide a photobooth for. Melanie was very easy to work with and incredibly organized. Melanie work with us to make sure we were able to set-up earlier in the day due to another booking and made sure the venue had everything we needed to make set-up a breeze. We hope to work with Melanie again!!

Melanie is THE BEST. She absolutely nailed it, we had her plan with us the entire time. Over a year in the making and she is such a professional and killed the design and execution of my wedding. She made my wedding dreams come true! And is such a nice person. Who really cares about what she does… now I’m just trying to figure out my next event where I can hire her again ;), anniversary party!?

Melanie hired me to provide entertainment during a wedding cocktail hour. Leading up to the wedding day, Melanie was FANTASTIC at proactively communicating important information and sharing a detailed event timeline with me. Melanie and her team did an excellent job decorating the reception venue, and it was clear that no small detail was overlooked. I highly recommend her company and look forward to working with her again.

Working with Melanie and her team for a wedding I photographed was incredible! She was professional and on the ball with everything! Having an Event Planner present on the day of the wedding ensures the Bride and Groom can be rest assured that everything is being handled and they can just enjoy the day! What an honour it was to have Melanie & team coordinate 100% of our perfectly planned wedding, with an intimate, moody cocktail style reception hosted within the warmth of the Oak Room in the beautiful Manitoba Club.A day we will never forget.We initially came to Melanie for help in the midst of the pandemic when stress was already high. We were soon entirely relieved as she navigated us through each and every element of the planning process with such precision and diligence. From a wedding date change and beyond, we were taken care of entirely, and felt deeply confident that we were in good hands as the big day approached.To say we were satisfied when the big day arrived - is truly an understatement. Melanie and team brought our vision to life perfectly, down to the very last design detail. Tears, shivers, and so much love shared by all 3 of us, when our big room reveal came.Not only is Melanie exceptional at bringing a vision to life, we genuinely felt she was invested in our journey to becoming husband and wife. Every meeting and every interaction came naturally and left us feeling that much more eager for the big day.We could not be happier with our decision to hire Melanie and her lovely, hardworking team. We are so grateful for this lifelong memory of our incredible experience.You absolutely need Melanie's help with your next special event!

If I have any advice for the brides out there it is to hire Melanie and her team to coordinate your wedding. She offers many different packages to accommodate the different needs of each couple. 1000 times over, she was the best decision I made for our wedding.We hired Melanie to do the month of and day of coordination for our wedding. Leading up to the day she helped us to stay on top.of all the small details and provided us with detailed check lists. She also acted as the main line of communication for all of our different vendors meaning I could focus on enjoying the process of wedding planning. She handled any problems that popped up (like our ceremony venue being under conatruction two days before the big day). And best of all on the day of the big wedding not one person asked us any questions about shuttles, food service, bar lines, cocktails, or decor. She and her team handled all the set up and any questions.She also helped us to communicate with our vendors after the event regarding different issues that should not have happened. Her communication at this time resulted in a 10% discount at our reception venue.Money well spent hiring Melanie!!!!
