I was rear ended and my car was written off. They offered roughly half of what my car was going for on the open market. I tried to dispute and they would not take any of my comparable vehicles. They will only take Auto Trader adds. If you cannot find the exact year, make and model on Auto Trader they will not use the comparable vehicle. They also did not extend my rental vehicle after the rental agency had told me it needed to be returned. My recommendation would be to never use TD for any insurance purposes. Hope this saves someone the headache I have had to go through. Accidents are stressful enough and these guys are zero help.

My experiences with them are pretty negative. My claim wasn't handled well. They don't offer much assistance or knowledge. Wouldn't recommend or go back to them

My truck was stolen 6 months ago and this company hasnt settled! I haven't received a settlement and they won't return my calls or emails and I'm STILL paying insurance on this vehicle ! If you're with TD find another company and if you're not, count your blessings because they are a nightmare to deal with. I've never been with another insurance company and this is how they treat a 30+ year customer.

TD Insurances automated telephone answering service is painful to deal with. Never in my life has it been so hard to speak with someone. I will drop TD just because of it.

Well, I just found out that when I tried to have the house insurance put over into my name (3 years ago when I was dealing with estate matters) it turns out that nothing had happened. Apparently, there was some small line in an email they replied on telling me to call them. Maybe it was unclear, maybe I did miss it but they never followed up, never phoned, no letter and just found out yesterday they killed the house insurance policy 3 years ago without telling me because I didn't contact them. The funny part, I just finished getting lectured about phoning rather than using email and here they just did the same thing. Hypocrite much? Asked how to fix. Can't, got to go elsewhere. Oh! But they will insure me if I buy a new house! Glad I have no policies with them now and even if I were to buy a new house, I wouldn't waste my time with them after this. Obviously they don't care about their clients only what they can get. The family had house and car insurance with this company for gosh, 20+ years for sure. I guess this is why people hate dealing with insurance companies.

I would not recommend this entity for insurance needs to anyone. If you do business with them, be very certain about what you are getting into. Got a vast increase on my vehicle insurance for the upcoming year. I have had the vehicle for 2 years now, and had 2 other vehicles insured with them prior. I have had no claims, no accidents or anything to impact or justify the hike in cost. In the past years my policy cost indicated slight decreases, reflecting a small saving.I decided to call in to enquire, only to be told, As a valued customer there is a discount we can apply to reduce the cost of your policy." BRAVO TD but NONSENSE!!!!If I am truly a valid customer why try to impose greater cost on me knowing that the same $3000 + you quoted could be given for LESS $2000? Then the justification is that the cost of living has increased.What if I didn't call to enquire and just took your quote as presented? Whilst I understand Business Strategies

TD Meloche Monnex is quick to give you a quote and take your money, however, their customer service is TERRIBLE. Trying to get through to them is impossible and wastes your time, on several occasions was on hold for 3+ hours, and or disconnected and had to wait again. It seems that they don't value or respect your time.They need to have a call back service. I would give them 0 stars for customer service if I can.

We were with TD for 15 years and year after the service kept getting worse so last year I finally did some shopping around and saved us 1500 bucks by leaving and that was after switching to two newer cars ! I had to leave our son with TD until he cleans up his driving record and let me tell you its been nothing but a headache. He had a collision and I deal with his insurance stuff because he has Autism and the girl was so rude to us I ended up yelling at her because she kept talking over us and now she is avoiding our calls and my son has been waiting for 10 days for a phone call we were told he'd get in 24 hours. I've left several messages.

Just don't use this insurance. Your home insurance coverage starts from $2M which in worst case scenarios for many people you never claim this amount from the insurer but you pay for it. I called and explained this to the insurer, and requested to cancel my home insurance. Doing that my auto insurance policy would be affected as I was using a bundle discount. I have been told that my Auto insurance policy will be increased by 10% because of cancelation of Home policy, which I was fine as I could save much more in a home policy I received from another insurer. However when I canceled my Home policy, they increased the Auto policy by 17%. I talked to four different people and wasted lots of time, but no one could explain to me why my policy has increased by 17% instead of 10%. They talk politely but don't provide solutions. Just don't bother yourself go with this.

Paid out Kelly blue book on a zero fault accident even though it's way under current market value. I was told to downsize my car or pay difference. When I told them I use a wheelchair and I'm on a fixed income I was told to wait 6-8 months for the market to stabilize. Now I'm a disabled person learning the bus... Thanks, TD!
