We enjoyed ourselves and the treats were very delish, however, it is a very small space and squishing in the table between the doors is not ideal. Every time someone entered from the mall entry, my chair was bumped or I had someone's bag brush against my back or head. Maybe worth the $50 per person in a better setting.

I bought a red velvet cake from here on seeing all the reviews online but was totally disappointed. The cake was very hard and we couldn’t even get that soft creamy flavour of red velvet. I bought this for my friends and they even said the same thing. Did not expect this from a cake shop, the cakes from Save On and other retailers tastes better than this. Wasted my money for nothing, should have bought from somewhere else. We kept the cake out for more than 3hrs before cutting it as we bought it on the afternoon and cut it in the evening. Both the buttercream and cake was hard for sure. The posted photo is taken on the next day after putting it back on the fridge as no one ate it. Anyways totally disappointing experience, we bought some macaroons too and that were good but the cake wasn’t good at all. I am writing this review after few days because I still regret buying this cake!

This bakery has been my go to since they've opened. Everything is delicious, I ordered a 6 inch strawberry chocolate cake for hubby's birthday and when I picked up I was really concerned as it looked to small to feed 8. Boy was I wrong, I ended up giving away 1/3. I used to go to private in home baker's who were very good but hard to get last minute orders. And her cakes were $125. Love the to go cakes for last min events. For people commenting on the high prices, you get what you pay for, quality!! I once went to a high end bakery and was utterly horrified to see a fly in the display case and even more so that the girl didn't care. So I'm thrilled to have the best bakery in Maple Ridge, and the way you engage with with people on Facebook, goes to show how much you care. Keep up the great job!! I'm just about to order the Mother's Day Boxes!!

I recently discovered Vanilla Bean Bakeshop and this small bakery has quickly become a favourite. Perfectly baked holiday sugar cookies and amazing brownies! Their Biscoff brownies have the perfect chew with a slight crust on the outside. A must-try dessert even for non-chocolate lovers (if there is such a thing). Well worth the drive out to Maple Ridge!UPDATE!Vanilla Bean Bakeshop has become my go-to bakery! Every item I’ve tried from savoury scones to cake has been delicious. I suggest asking for a box and trying one of everything.

I decided on a cowgirl disco cake for my bday. I sent Taylor my picture and she totally nailed it. The cake was amazing both design and taste. I told her to pick the best flavours and she did. Oreo and vanilla spice. My guest raves about how amazing the butter cream tasted. Looking forward to working again with Taylor in the future.

Cute little corner bakery. Had the lemon earl grey loaf, chamomile lavender loaf and the raspberry blondie.Good Earl grey flavour in the lemon loaf but Chamomile and lavender flavours were pretty non existent in the second loaf. Raspberry blondie had an odd aftertaste (almost fishy?)

Overall, it was an underwhelming High Tea experience. Good variety of teas and treats and a very clean space. However, the price does not reflect the lack of intimate atmosphere. There was minimal personal interaction with staff & no recognition of the birthday guest. The experience was missing many of the fine details one looks for with high tea, that would justify the cost. There is potential for this experience to be more enjoyable, but unfortunately, it missed the mark today. There are many other places that offer high tea at a similar or lower cost that have fine-tuned the details. Hopefully, with a bit more time, the details can be ironed out to better match the expectation.

We ordered a themed birthday cake for our young child’s birthday. All our specific requests were honoured and it looked beautiful. The cake was perfectly constructed and very tasty. I would definitely order a custom cake from here again.

I’ve visited here a few times and I just can’t stop going back!!! The staff is always so amazing, friendly, helpful and all the good stuff.They have such great options and variety it’s really hard not to get one of everything!!! They are open 7 days a week to! So I can l go back anyday I please.When I was in there today people were having high tea and I was so impressed with the selection they offer with it!! I will definitely be back for high tea one day.The raspberry white chocolate oat bar is my go to for a delicious on the go snack paired with a white chocolate mocha! Yummmmmm if you haven’t gone make sure you check this gem out, you will not be disappointed.

This is a great stop for a coffee and treat, or a great place to pick up tasty dessert for an event with friends. They have a great little seating area with lots of different drink options and all their baked goods look delectable. I tried the second and it was delicious. The people working there were friendly and helpful and I look forward to trying more items there in the future.
