Brant Stereo is dedicated to quality and John the one who established it decades ago and attended high school in Brantford has kept his good name ever since with everyone who knows him. Unlike a big box store where employees come and go, he is easily accessed if not in the store himself much of the time. Standing behind his products, sometimes his honesty and advice can result in him talking himself out of easy business but ends up benefiting customers and attracts people to return for future purchases.

In the 70's and 80's, i bought a few high end stereo equipment from John, when the store was at the back of Sam The Record Man store on Colborne Street, to this day my vintage stereos are still being used and the sound quality is awesome, and they are still in perfect condition.

Extremely disappointed by the customer service presented by John. I was sold a TV under the context it was a full HD (1080p) TV. However, after getting home and reading the manual I found out the tv is actually 720p. The tv in questions is the Sony kdl32w600d model. I challenge any reader of this review to search that model and say It is not 720p.. I am not an emotional consumer, I understand mistakes happen, but I'm also a firm believer in humility and ownership of your mistakes. Even after we discussed the tv return he was adamant that It was 1080p. When I asked John to look at the manual to see where it Clearly states the resolution at 720p, he took the manual out of my hand and said I have work to do

after 40 years it was time unbury my Technics SL Q2 turntableJohn was most helpful with my cartridge replacement selection and vinyl cleaning solution.He wired and mounted the new cartridge to the headshell for me. that was most appreciated.Iwhole heartedly recommend John and Brant Stereo. it is a pleasure dealing with a true audio professional. Have dealt with Brant Stereo on many occasions. Our brand of choice has always been Sony for TV and we have never been disappointed. John actually came to our house and solved an audio problem for us. How is that for customer service?
