Barrie Medicine Clinic

Although not every experience here has been the greatest, I have definitely seen some improvement within the past 2-3 years.The doctors are very kind and knowledgeable. The front desk will give you an approximate time to come back so you don’t have to wait in the clinic for hours - which I really appreciate.Overall one of the best clinics in Barrie I have been to over the years. It’s unfortunate that people only seem to write reviews when they have a BAD experience.Thank you to the whole team that works here. I know you guys have to deal with some harsh people - just know you are all doing a great job and we appreciate you. :)

Very disappointing. Needed a doctor on Sunday and this was the only location open in Barrie. However after driving for almost 35 mins found out you need to be registered with a doctor on their list before they take you! What is the point of a walk-in clinic if you have conditions. Don't waist your time people. Even then, they give you a booking for 5 hours later. Very unprofessional, you'd think doctors would be better organized and prepared.

If no star was an option then even that doesn’t justifyVery sorry Prosess that you have to drive 20/30 min s to come to clinic to know they give you a time 4 hrs later to come backWhy don’t you just do that over the phone and fire are front staff probably a better way to do business

This clinic makes me sick, I just brought my 5yo child here with a aching ear , in serious pain , the only walk in" clinic around open on a Sunday.And with an empty waiting room

Very very rude ……. Wont even give one star…..I had an appointment 2 weeks ago and waited 1:30 hrs and doctor asked me to do X ray. I did my X ray on last wednesday and X ray people said they will send to my doctor on friday. Its been a week, today is wednesday… i called the clinic tuesday to give me an appointment but they said they dont have my x ray yet so i dont need appointment. Seriously?Now this is walk in clinic, so i just went there on wednesday and the lady at door was so rude. She was like “its not work like this, if u dont have appointment you have to wait 2-3 hours, i have so many patients, you are wasting time etc etc.i dont want to waste time thats why i called one day earlier to book an appointment you stupid. These people should not be a doctor, their duty is to help humanity. I dont want to use bad language here but so so frustrating.Dont go there, you will die but they will wait for the appointment.

Referred here by my family practice (where I couldn’t be seen). After waiting outside in the cold, in a line up (maybe this clinic should be open in the morning as well) I was turned away stating this clinic ONLY sees patients with cold and flu …. Also read the comments above. They need to do better. Our health care system is broken.

Please be aware that this location is now conducting COVID-19 testing. At the time of writing (Sept 24, 2020) this place was not on Ontario official testing facilities list.

Got here at one and waited outside for them to open at 2pm for. 2pm doctor still not here. 230pm doctor still not here. Receptionist has communicated nothing ... I went up and all she said was. ' he's late'. Love it when people have all the time in the day to just make others wait. Very disrespectful to others a d their time. Like any of us really want to be here?!??!

For what it's worth, I've always had great experiences with this clinic! Today, however, that was very much not the case...I called earlier in the day to see what my options were to get antibiotics for a reoccurring ear infection. Because I work from home, I decided that a phone appointment would work best with my schedule. I was informed that there was a possibility that I would still need to be seen in person the next day so a doctor could assess my ear, which was all fine with me. However, shortly after, I realized that the clinic was open until 8pm (I thought it closed by 5pm, in which case I wouldn't be able to make it due to work - this was my mistake). Luckily, I was able to step away shortly from work to drive over to the clinic to see if I could be seen in person instead after my shift. That way, I wouldn't have to potentially wait until the next day to receive antibiotics.Not so luckily, one of the receptionists proceeded to reprimand me for wanting to cancel the phone appointment to be seen in person. She told me more than once that she was very clear" with me over the phone

By far the worst place I've ever been! Went in with symptoms- Fever, stomach and back pain, vomiting. Had a urine and swab test conducted. A week later I called for an update on my test results. Was told they were inconclusive. Went back the following day to have the same tests done. A few days go by..Called again for an update. Was then told that somehow my tests were mishandled or lost" Three days later- I found myself in the ER with a ruptured appendix."
