WCS Shredding & Recycling Depot

I needed to recycle some children's car seats. Seemed to be the only place that would take them in North Vancouver. Spoke to a wonderful lady named Charmaine who was very helpful to the point of being able to help me even after public drop off had ended for the day. Great service. I will however say that the public drop off hours are way to short and inconvenient for somebody who works a regular job to work with. 9am - 3pm Mon to Fri and no weekends. If more people are to use this service there needs to be more accessible hours for regular working folk.This is taking away from Charmaine though. So I will say again above and beyond service from this wonderful lady.

I went to recycle my old infant car seat. A worker came out as soon as I pulled up, and unloaded the car seat and showed me to the office where I could pay for the recycling fee. All in under 5 minutes! Also it is so convenient to get to as it is right off the Iron workers bridge.

Confidential paper document shredding and child car seat recycling are offered to the general public. For businesses they also offer services for commercial amounts of packing Styrofoam recycling and soft plastic recycling.They do not take laminates anymore - these can be taken to the North Shore Transfer Station on Riverside drive at no cost under their Other Flexible Packaging" stream."

As for the service aspect of it, I think more services could be offered. It's a good place to dump off styrofoam, car seats and unwanted documents for destruction. Location too small and too out of the way.

So helpful and safe distance

I used waste control services for purchasing Organic compost soil. The soil is first class,but better yet, the staff is outstanding. When I called I spoke to Charmaine, she was knowledgeable, and very helpful. I would recommend this location for all your soil needs.

I recycle here at least once a month. It takes a small amount of time to sort in the provided sorting bins, and is totally worth doing. The modest cost per bag is a small price to pay to prevent plastics from getting into the landfill!

On Monday August 20, 2018, I drove Arthur Laing Bridge from Richmond to Vancouver. I was suppose to merge into the left lane but a truck of yours refused to let me merge, our cars were only 1cm apart, forcing me to pull out of the lane. With this kind of driver what responsibility do you think you can get from them?
