The students at the clinic are very attentive and well advised by their instructors in the application of their training. The relief I have received so far from both massage and acupuncture is well worth the discounted rates they charge. Book your first visit if you are tight on funds and looking to get some much needed physical relief! Plus you are helping assist in the training of great future healers coming out of the heart of our province.

I just recently completed the RMT program at KCCIHS (August 2019) and I really believe that this school and administration has to be one of the most thoughtful, caring and accommodating schools out there. Although the RMT program is relatively new to the school and as with any program/school, challenging situations can arise, I believe that the school and administration rose above in all situations to ensure that the needs of the students were met. The school works incredibly hard to ensure that the highest quality of education and teaching is provided to their students. I feel as though the school prepared us very well for our written and practical Registration exams and left the exams feeling confident that I had successfully passed.

If you have any kind of learning disabilities DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL. They will pretend they can help you and really they were not set up to help. I should have seen the red flag when they didn't want high school transcripts to enter the program. Also they said they had a big intake" so they could get us started in January

I am a current student here at KCCIHS.First off I think attention needs to be paid to the fact that ANY school is going to have a contract for students. This is part of the education system, and proves as integrity on the students part. The reason you sign a contract is to show that you WANT to be in the program and know there is a heavy workload along with it. If there isn't sufficient research done on your part about the program and if you'd like to do it or not that fault is yours and not the schools.Myself personally, I did lots of looking around at other programs before joining the school here. It is my second year and I have enjoyed it. Nelson is an amazing place to study, and I adore being surrounded by like minded individuals in the classroom. Although the workload is heavy (as will be with a lot of health orientated programs) the school has lots of options in helping students, last year for example they sorted out a tutoring program for the first years by the senior students. Educational for all. As well as this they allow students a big room with massage tables to practice in (weekends as well) and a Saturday study club ran by one of the professors. The passion the professors and the school holds for health is what truly inspired me- and continues to inspire me to study here. Watching the successful practitioners and massage therapists that walk out of the doors as new professionals reminds me when studying gets hard that it is all worth it.

I am a prospective student for Massage Therapy Program. My best friend graduated from this school and she is a registered RMT now. She is living her best life now and she speaks very great of the school and the strong academics. I am very excited to be a future student here to learn massage therapy

I attended this school for the past 9 months and I am very excited to be transferring to Pacific Rim College to complete my schooling in acupuncture/TCM. This school handled covid pretty poorly and were not accommodating to my needs regarding my safety and my mental health. There are some treasures of teachers here but the curriculum hasn’t been updated in a long time (20years), I can’t say much positive about how the school is run and they care more for the RMT program/students than that of the TCM/acupuncturists.

I was a student RMT at this school. For students considering attending the RMT program here, please be aware of some things. The bad:Nelson already has a lot of RMTs. Every year, this school pumps out more who want to stay and form a practice. That means that new grads are having a tougher time getting a practice going, and this has been true for me. I'm not complaining, but that's the reality. The number of RMTs in nearby towns are also growing, and it's likely that the area around Nelson will reach saturation at some point in the near future if it hasn't already. This program is stressful and there is very little support aside from a couple of incredible teachers, some alumni who help out, and your fellow students. There are students recovering from diagnosed and clinically treated PTSD. There are students who have taken several years to recover from the chronic fatigue that follows completion. Every student I've known over several cohorts was unable to care for their own physical needs or relationships properly. I entered this program after other student RMTs had warned me about the stress, and I thought Oh

The one-on-one time with instructors in the Traditional Chinese Medicine programs and intimate nature of this school is irreplaceable. The instructors are truly passionate about their subject matter and with a vast array of specialties, you gain so much knowledge about Traditional Chinese Medicine. The instructors have helped me gain confidence and through passionate teaching, I have extended my studies from the 3-year program of Acupuncture to the 4-year TCMP program. If you are truly looking to dig deep into the art of TCM, this is the school to choose. You are not running through this program just to get a job at the end, but to develop a deep understanding of the practices that ARE TCM.Highly recommend this school!

This is the best RMT school in BC. My best friend is a student here and she is very satisfied with the teachers, faculty and the learning environment. I will also join in the coming fall
