The Fireplace Loft

We found The Fireplace Loft through a colleague. Kevin, Jacky and Stephen were of fantastic help from selecting a fireplace to design and install. While COVID extended the length of time it took, we’re absolutely delighted with the final result. If you’re shopping for a fireplace, make this your first stop!

I have to thank the Fireplace Loft team for such a beautiful job designing and installing my fireplace. It is a gas fireplace that extends out from my wall only 9 inches (fireplace + mantle) compared to 24 inches quoted by other fireplace providers. It is beautiful when lit, and the mantle is gorgeous - 10 feet high and the white shiplap, beautifully finished, with band detailing on either side of the fireplace. The cap at the top finishes it nicely when looking down from the second floor. To top it off, it is family owned, well established, incredibly professional and the team has a great sense of humour - an absolute pleasure working with the team!

I have worked with The Fireplace Loft on two fireplace projects during the past year and have been delighted with all aspects of their work. I am happy to write a review because they don’t advertise – their business is generated through customer satisfaction and word-of-mouth. This family-run business puts the customer first and delivers a very high-quality, superbly-designed product. A year ago, Kevin and team created a beautiful fireplace for our Waterloo condo. This year we bought a new home in London, ON and when selling our Waterloo residence, the fireplace was a definite selling feature. So when it came to renovating the new London home and redesigning the existing “oddball” fireplace, I knew exactly who to call. Stephen and Kevin designed a stunning new, double-sided surround for the existing firebox. What makes this company excellent in my mind is not only their quality construction and customer communications, it is their solid understanding of fireplace design and critical elements such as proportion and balance. I found other fireplace companies just wanted to sell me a firebox and have me select the fireplace mantle and surround designs from their menu of generic, computer-driven concepts. Kevin, Steve and Fireplace Loft did an amazing job and we couldn't be happier with our new fireplace! They were very responsive and accommodating before, during, and after the install. I received a few quotes from other places and The Fireplace Loft was definitely competitive and Kevin was transparent and honest. He gave me some suggestions that I never thought of which made a huge difference on my installation. I didn't have enough room for standard side cabinets so he built them into the legs, totally hidden away! This enables me to hide my audio equipment for a really sleek and clean install. The quote was accurate, they installed when they said they would (even during their busy winter season) and the quality is outstanding. The installers were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to ensure it was installed properly. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a mantle. I have been wanting to install a fireplace for some time.After searching various suppliers I decided to go with the Fireplace Loft.Kevin was very helpful with coaching us through our design that we had in mind and made some suggestions to improve it. His price point on the Fireplace itself and options was better than other suppliers.He was able to handle the entire installation, framing, gas work, and stone work. We wanted something special for our new home that would serve as a functional and look great. The entertainment center that Fireplace loft delivered was above and beyond what we could hope for. The process went well from start to finish and Steven is excellent at his craft to make sure everything would look great and built specifically to the wall area. Would recommend to everyone.
