Great service and so friendly. He doesn't try and make you get things you don't need. I definitely wouldn't bring my car to anyone else.

Went to change the front shocks on my vehicle. The job was done fast and well.

Hit a curb the other day, got stressed AF. The wheel fender came off and I kept the piece and the steering wheel was off centre after that. Spoke and dealt with Everton who was great!Most auto repair shops aren't open on a Saturday or if they are it's half day but Syd's was! So after a quick visit to another garage where they took the car for a spin and said nothing was wrong (clearly the alignment was off which I mentioned), I called Syd's and they said come in an hour.They were right on time when I got there, wasted no time, put the car up and took a look with flashlights, turned the car on to see the wheels spin, visually inspected some parts (without taking anything apart) and showed me a part that was slightly bent to be replaced. I'm hoping nothing else is off but they didn't seem concerned by anything else being broken or bent.They were able to call their supplier right away to find if the part was available and how much it would cost and everything should be fixed next week!They said they could salvage the wheel fender piece and just charge the labor to put that back which is great because that saves me buying another part (and less in the landfills).Professional, easy to understand, transparent, didn't feel ripped off, the price for the replacement part seemed decent and well priced considering what's online.The waiting room is small and dingy though but it's not like you're visiting a car mechanic all that often (usually) so it's fine.

Not sure what to write here. I have very mixed feelings about this garage. Good and bad experiences. One time I took my sister's car in to get the battery changed. The mechanic didn't change it, rather it seemed like it the dying one was only charged, while he kept the new battery, which he eventually installed when I brought the car back.I chalked it up to an honest mistake. He has done other work on my other cars, break changing, oil changes, etc.The last repair was end link, which broke the sway bar, then I had to return and pay to get that repaired.I don't want to throw him under the bus, and it isn't as simple as a rating in stars.It's more that. I personally don't trust him, and I might be entirely crazy about suspecting anything, since the cars that I brought him we're always fixed... Eventually.

Syd is the best mechanic in NDG. You won’t regret calling for any car problems.
