His work is incredible! Immaculate work and a perfectionist! The animals appear still alive (he also likes to add bases and greenery like the animal was still in its natural habitat). I have seen him do deer, moose, elk, caribou, mountain goats, buffalo, birds, fish & now African animals. He never rushes and makes sure the animal looks natural and realistic as possible. If you want your animal to look alive & perfect he is definitely the guy to go to! Great prices! Fast turn around! Amazing work!

We have now had 3 animals done by Steve. Absolutely the best work I have ever seen! Steve puts a great deal of attention to even the minuscule small things! The eyes are amazing, never seen such fine details that brings them back to life! Steve finished all of my mounts quickly and professionally. Wouldn’t take my animals anywhere else, ever!

Steve is as good as it gets. His attention to detail is second to none. The little things he would concentrate on makes the deer look so life like. He had my mount finished in a very timely manner.I would recommend Steve at Wilderness Taxidermy in a heart beat.

Can’t say enough good! After using two different taxidermists and taking in excess of two years and poor service. I started looking again I gave Steve a whitetail and he had it completed and back to me in a matter of months. Since then his service and continual commitment to perfecting his craft has solidified it for me. I have gave him more work and more than happy to have finally found someone to trust in handling my memories. It’s not just a job for him it’s a passion and desire to create life like workI more than recommend him you won’t be disappointed

Steve at Widerness taxidermy is top notch. I wish I knew him years ago and had all my mounts done by him. His attention to detail is phenomenal. He is very meticulous and takes great pride which is easy to tell through his work. His turn around time is great and the pricing is good. I recommend him 100% to anyone that values their mounts like I do. I will use him as long as I can.

I d been chasing mulies for ten plus years and finally got my dream mature buck. Steve had it done in in a short time period, doing a great job. A year later I was lucky enough to get a mature whitetail. Super glad I ended up using Steve as a taxidermist. He was quick on return, professional and gave me positive pointers on how to better field dress my animals. This is not a hobby for Steve this is a profession that he takes seriously.
