Living in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island it's a joy. It's very important to have options for good transportation too and from the Mainland. I mainly choose to travel with BC Ferries. BC Ferries runs a tight ship when it comes to getting people where they need to go on TIME (excluding extreme weather).BC Ferries Departure Bay Terminal" is one of the nicest I've been in

Worst service. With disabled person and reservation expected ferry 7 hours. Sailing on 4p.m. Fortunately jumping on board at 11p.m. it is not first time. Last time I expected 4 hours. Terrible. Very disappointed. Never use again this place!!!!!

Beware of the size of your vehicle, check in may threat you with canceling your reservation for an inch up or down.....(I may have been unlucky with one particular staff member, maybe rest of staff are reasonable and great). Other than that views from the ferry are just breathtaking.

One perfect , safest ,tidiest terminal and ferry ride to Nanaimo. I recommend it to visitors mostly.

I know that this is asking me to review the Nanaimo ferry terminal but it looks like I'm reviewing the town. The ferry terminal gets five stars for its services and cleanliness. The town gets three stars for trying extra hard but not quite getting there.

This terminal has one of the best views. Nice people working there; can be a little slow at times.
