I would have to consider carefully were I to come here again. Although a sort of nice location, that's about all that was positive about our experience. There was at least an effort to provide decent service but the hour between ordering and arrival of the meals was too much. The food itself, although the menu choices seemed quite interesting, was not. It was, at best, mediocre. There were eight in my group and it was Mother's Day, so one has to allow some slippage, but in total it was an expensive venture with less-than-great food.

Food arrived freezing cold an hour after sitting down. Ordered a soup as an appitizer and it just never showed up. The server also never checked on us once. I got the prime rib as an entree and it was full of fat. I had to use a butter knife to cut. Our reciept was wrong as well. Get it together guys!

The venue is beautiful. We opted to try the Mother’s Day Brunch as the food we experienced in December for my retirement party was lovely. Although busy today and food was good we waited more than an hour for it to arrive. No one came to the table to update us and only after flagging our server was an explanation offered. The eggs Benedict were good but only luke warm. The hash browns were hot and good. The manager ended up comping the mimosas because of the long wait. Our suggestion would have been more staff in the kitchen as the wait was unacceptable. It put a bit of a damper on the day.

First time at Renaissance last night. Beautiful heritage building, grandiose déco, perfect lighting and ambiance music, great staff, great service, great food. Great job Denis and Paul and Sunny and we didn't catch the Manager's name but he was awesome too. I will go again and I recommend it!

Very nice. The salmon was tasty and the prime rib portion was quite large. The restaurant was very nicely decorated

First time here and will go back. It was an excellent experience from making the reservations to having to change the time and the service and food were top notch. Loved the steak, asparagus special with hollandaise sauce. This and wine were all very fairly priced

My wife and I got married at Renaissance two weeks ago. We cannot say enough good things about this beautiful venue, the staff and the owners. The food was the highlight of the evening. We had a four course meal with Prime rib that was cooked perfectly. They were able to transition from dinner to late night without anyone noticing. The dance lights and bar right beside the dance floor made for a great late night. Our families are still talking about it being the best wedding they have been to. We would recommend this venue to any couple looking to hold their dream wedding. Denis, Paul and their staff are amazing.

Would not recommend this restaurant. Management is INCREDIBLY unprofessional and super disrespectful to their staff. Food was meh at best. Drinks tasted like they didn’t know how to make a simple Daiquiri, just not a good experience with this place. Better places to go in Kingston.
