Lapointe Fish Ltd
It's their warehouse. A working warehouse. Not a retail store. You go in and see their slate of available items and buy them. Better, phone ahead. Note well the limited hours. Not the cheapest but about as fresh as you can get in Ottawa. Best bet is tuna, oysters by the box, salmon, lobsters.

This is the warehouse location for the Lapointe locations in Ottawa. The staff are extremely knowledgeable however it's a working warehouse and not a retail location.

I was very satisfied with the selection and quality of the fish. However, I have purchased fish at Lapointe twice now and both times I felt that the customer service was poor. My first time into Lapointe I asked an attendant where I might find Sushi grade fish and he had no idea what I was talking about. Rather than asking another employee he told me that they did not carry the product. I resolved to ask a second employee because I had a hard time believing Lapointe didn't carry fish for sushi. The second employee pointed me in the right direction and was very pleasant. The second time I came in, I found the attendant somewhat rude. I requested six ounces of a certain type of fish and she suggested to me that I might want the cheaper option. I understand that she may have been trying to be helpful but I was insulting and unsolicited.
