A small intimate restaurant in Mt. Pleasant serving an extraordinary and fun kaiseki dining experience. We came here before they got a Michelin star and not only was the food wonderful, but Chef Daisuke Izutsu was so charismatic and we had a lot of fun talking to him.We had the nine course and if there is uni, get it. Their Hokkaido uni is unlike anything I’ve had in Toronto and the chef would also sear it with Wagyu and Foie Gras - a buttery, creamy and savoury bite.You won’t miss the Harvest Platter - a beautiful display resembling a Japanese garden or depending on the season when you’re going, it could be something else. I felt like my dish resembled a Studio Ghibli scene.End your dinner with Japanese honey melon. Best melon you’ll ever have.

Visited yesterday to Yukashi to celebrate my wife's birthday. The Chef served us a 9 course meal. The food is artistic and tasty. Good customer service. Overall a great experience.

Absolutely splendid. Setting is very intimate as it seats only 10 around the counter. All the dishes were extremely beautiful and delicious. Chef Izutsu is a clear genius and a kind soul. A must on every food lover’s list.

Hands down best sushi place I have ever been to, to date. I don't have anything negative to say about Yukashi, everything was perfect! Presentation is incredible, ambiance is warm and inviting, and the food itself is top top quality. This is a genuinely artistic omakase experience. The chef was a true pleasure to watch and speak to. Sake pairings were unbelievable. I could have paid much much more without it feeling overpriced.

I wholly enjoyed the experience - every dish and every flavour. You gotta appreciate the ingredients and skill that the chef and his team put into a service. It's not everyday that you get to taste the sea on a plate. Everything was so fresh, beautiful and well blended together. Would totally recommend if you want to experience and taste something different.

I can tell that chef Daisuke Izutsu has poured his passion into this cuisine after seeing everything in the restaurant and the meticulously crafted dishes. The highlight for me is the wonderful presentation of some dishes, inviting you to be a little more playful and to pick at some of the food with your hands. Thank you for such a memorable experience!

Amazing experience for Omakase- the plating and the courses were all unique and intentionally served. The chef also provided a complimentary whisky drink, as we were celebrating a birthday. Would recommend for a special occasion.

Great experience. Excellent service and food. Everything fresh from Japan. Omakase menu with ingredients that change seasonally (we plan on returning every season :)) Highly recommended.

WOW. Chef Daisuke is a master of his craft.From the moment you walk in you're welcomed by incredibly kind staff who will make you feel right at home. The entire experience is like attending an intimate dinner party at a friend's house.When we dined there were only 10 guests (including us) in the entire restaurant which made it feel really special. I did notice a table (empty) so they could probably fit 4 more guests.The food itself was incredibly well executed. It was a pleasure watching the chef and his staff put the dishes together. Every course added to the last, and some of the dishes honestly felt too pretty to eat.Standout dishes: otsukuri, uni-niku, hassun. Also can't forget to mention the incredible sake pairing. There was also a whiskey pairing for the dessert course (Japanese melon) which was fantastic.The Michelin star is well deserved and Yukashi definitely ranks in my top 5 Toronto restaurants (and it isn't 3, 4, or 5). We'll definitely be back!
