The Improv Embassy

Intro to improv is a great class if you are interested in doing something new and fun.

This place holds a very special place in my heart as it is where I fell in love with improv. They strive to be inclusive and are a pillar in Ottawa's improvised comedy community. Being a part of this community made it really hard for me to leave Ottawa.

I've taken a number of classes with the Improv Embassy, and I've been happy with all of them. I've generally taken my classes of weeknights, and let me tell you, it feels great to shake off the work day by being creative and silly with a group of awesome people. And the Improv Embassy clearly puts real effort into being inclusive, and developing a real curriculum for the classes. I highly recommend!

Dani and Krystal, from The Improv Embassy were fantastic!These ladies were able to create a psychologically safe environment while guiding us in learning the art of creative thinking and active listening. The activities they took us through were engaging, fun, hilarious, and gave us the opportunity to discover more about our team member’s personalities and strengths in a zero judgement environment.They were both thorough and thoughtful in the approach to activities in order to meet the needs of our dynamic team. This approach focused on accommodating both introverts and extroverts while uncovering the power dynamics with people leaders and employees.This improv experience truly mixed things up to get us out of our comfort zone and get to know each other in a different light. It also provided us with valuable practice in business skills like quick adaptive thinking and clear communication. The activities were a good length and certainly creative, both Dani and Krystal displayed strong experience and knowledge and we couldn’t have been happier to learn from their expertise.Thank you from all of us at CMHC that had the pleasure to join in the fun! … The barn is on FIRE!!

Taking a class with Improv Embassy was a life-changing experience. I only wish I had signed up earlier. The representatives and instructors of the Improv Embassy are like magicians - they are natural at making you feel comfortable and get creative. Thank you Improv Embassy!
