Great Irish pub. Lots of space to mingle and room to move around. Not glogged up with endless tables. Not much of wine selection but quite a few beers on tap and scotches on the shelf. Friendly. I think I'll try the food next time...

Great pub, the oldest one on Augusta St. Pub food is great, pay a bit more but well worth it. Very cosy and warm atmosphere. Specials daily. Outdoor seating, a few big screen tv's, friendly table service, clean restrooms. Meatloaf and fish and chips feature with a full array of pub food and great draft and bottle selection and liqueur and wine

There’s nothing better than winding down after a busy day at the pheasant plucker. All the servers are incredibly friendly, kind, and fun to be around! The regulars truly make this place feel like home. After a long day of construction work, there’s no place I’d rather wind down than the pheasant plucker. Thanks guys.

Staff were very friendly, food was great and the place was clean. The Phez burger and sweet potato fries were delicious. I will definitely come here again!

The Pheasant Plucker
This pub has a cozy atmosphere because it's set in a house, staff is very nice, food is fresh, delicious and served hot. It has a bar counter for drinks and tv to watch sports. There are many benches for comfortable seats. However, because it's in downtown Hamilton, that means paid parking happen most of the time, so I recommend to go on Sunday for free parking or to go without driving.

Best pub food I've had in a while. My partner and I went after 10pm last Friday night, not expecting much but we were absolutely blown away by the food. Hands down the crispiest wings we've ever had (just ordered some for lunch today and I'm eating the rest five hours later but somehow they're still beautifully crispy under the sauce!) Deliciously thick spin dip with pitas, fried pickles were good. My burger was cooked nicely, super soft bun that was sturdy enough to hold all of the fixin's in place. Awesome nicely cooked hand cut fries.We just moved to the area and this was the first place we tried (in the hopes of finding a nice regular joint,) and we now really don't have any interest in looking much further for a quality pub with great food and good drinks!

I had asked for a Greek salad without Romaine lettuce.They had said they can't do that and it would cost me $15 just for the toppings.A true Greek salad consist of;Cucumber Tomato bell pepper red onion and Kalmata olives and Feta cheese.Why would I be charged more for a salad minus lettuce. That doesn't belong?The server could not offer me another option. She had to go to the kitchen to ask.In my professional and humble opinion, the kitchen was to (lazy) to make me a simple salad.Went across tothe B side. Found out it was the same owners, so we stayed for a beer and moved on.During this transition from The pheasant plucker to B side .Had a employee of the pheasant plucker argue with me in the street about my decision to not custom her establishment.I am a chef of 25 years.If the kitchen could have accommodated one customer.For a correct salad.The Pheasant plucker would of had a $300 influx to their coffers.The email in the answer does not exist.

We ordered the fish and chips and an Angus burger. Both were delicious, fish and chips were a large sized portion (they did forget the tarter sauce)The burger was cooked perfectly, juicy and not over cooked, I added feta and bacon, fries travelled well for delivery!.I will add that they also forgot my gravy but the food is good enough that I dont care all that much.
