Big Rock Animal Clinic

Absolutely wonderful service. Our big guy, who at 150 lbs was having seizures and we thought we were going to loose him but they have been incredible with medication and support. We are grateful for such amazing vets.

I was so impressed by the vets and assistance at big rock animal clinic. My little puppies are usually quite afraid at the vet. They had their tails off and wagging. It’s definitely worth the drive from Calgary!

Best animal clinic out there. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and they go above and beyond with their care for your pet. The clinic is clean and inviting. Their rates are also very reasonable. I have been taking my animals to this clinic for well over 15 years and they all love the staff and are excited to go in rather than being afraid and nervous. If you are looking for a vet in the Okotoks area, this is the place to go.

My experience with this clinic started many years ago with my first dog needing extensive dental work, Dr. Rick was recommended to me through another vet clinic because we were quoted almost $5000 from the clinics in the Calgary and that was not something we could afford. After he saw our little dog he gave us a quote that was a fraction of that and a guarantee that he wouldn't go over. Since then he has been our go to guy for any dental work and he was the only person we recommended to anyone who needed their pets looked after. Now we are on our second dog and our family vet suggested some dental work so we immediately made an appointment with Dr Rick and he was amazing! He not only assured us that we didn't need to go for surgery right away and we can prevent it in the future he also explained why surgery may be necessary and went into great detail about how to brush our dogs teeth in order to prevent the surgery. He is the only vet I trust with any dental issues for my dogs and as long as he's practicing I will take all of my dogs to him. I drive almost an hour from the northwest of Calgary just to see him and it is worth it every time. He is an incredible vet and so reasonably priced!

I've been to this Vet for over 10 years.Small enough to be intimate and familial. A place you can trust your animal companion. Yet still large enough to still be accommodating and responsible in times of emergency or more customized needs.Marvelous, clean and caring place. My Aries' favorite food is from that place. Healthy Advantage I think.The place is well lit and doesn't smell of (so busy and hectic the air carries pungent vaporous testimony of that last 30 visits), which is nice! Staff is responsive, dynamic and fun. Honest and the small talk is measurably larger than the average small talk typical Canadian social etiquette would normally allow for. Instead of How's your day?"
