John and his team are absolutely fantastic. I have been going here for years and don't even get stressed anymore when something is wrong with my car because I know I can rely on A&M Auto.

John is a lovely human who operates on kindness -- I am a new client and he went out of his way to look at my car despite his busy schedule - quick, friendly, and knowledgeable service. I will take my car here forever and a day.

Never over-charges and always honest. He has told me several times when there is nothing wrong with my car, when other mechanics had told me to replace various parts and fluids, but he told me they looked fine and sure enough they were. Also very helpful for last minute appointments and never upset when I've wasted his time, even gave me a free taillight bulb when one had burnt out. Had a faulty parking brake sensor that he told me was not worth replacing after thoroughly checking my brakes. I will always choose S&M for all my auto service needs!

I visited here a few times for an advice and I am very happy with John's recommendations. I also had engine oil change here a couple weeks ago. It seems like they only use high quality German oil, which I am very happy with it so far. My car seems to be running quieter and quieter as I drive more. I highly recommend S&M Auto and I will be taking my car to them from now on.

After being coerced into replacing some fluids and being told to replace all of our brake pads by Mr. Lube, we came here for a second opinion and they did not disappoint!After finding the cause of our rattling, fixing it for no charge, and letting us know we have a lot left on our brake pads, we left happy and will definitely be back for all of our mechanic needs!

I have bringing my cars here for over 20 years, and now drive almost an hour to get here; the quality of service and workmanship has been that good. I can not even begin to imagine looking for a different mechanic

Thank you John! I had a genuinely amazing experience. Joining the shop and booking a time was easy and smooth. Took my car (Matrix 2008) for a full inspection and regular service and was ready to pay the full price ($400 - $500)! John did the full inspection and took the car for a drive test then did the service, I ended-up paying for the oil change only ($150), he just considered the inspection as part of the service. Much much appreciated.he found a few small things to be fixed and took the time to explain everything to me without any rush. Also got a phone call to explain everything before any work was done on the car. I had to think about it so he just did the regular service and told me to take my time and come back later if needed. Honestly felt like an old knowledgeable friend looking after my car. Been driving for 15 years is this the best experience I ever had with a mechanic shop. I'm not from Vancouver and came here because of the reviews without anybody referring me to him. Experience was amazing. Quick, fair / cheap price, honest and clear communication.So thank you John!

I am Very happy with S & M and my recent experience. They replaced my rear shocks on my Mazda. I called in the morning and they had me on the road again the same day in the afternoon. They also pulled out a drywall screw and fixed my slow leak. John gave me an honest quote and was friendly. I definitely will be coming back for any future repairs.

John is reliable, fair, quick and efficient! My vehicle always feels safe and secur Lea get service. Plus shop dog Karl is always nice to visit with.

Highly recommended. John and his team do excellent work. We had been lax about regular maintenance: there was a chirping sound and the air conditioning wasn’t working. John fixed those issues and more. Now we make an annual appointment for a check up.
