Rolling Pepper Hot-Pot

Nice atmosphere, had the lunch combo. They have spicy or mild broth and I asked if they could do medium; however this was still pretty aggressively spicy. Ingredients were good, meal overall was satisfying. The service was very charming and nice.

A very nice place to eat with ur family and friends. Cheap price and super good service. The spicy soup is my favorite !

I ordered hotpot through SkipTheDishes. The restaurant took 20 mins to confirm the order and another 40 mins to cook one dish. When it finally arrived, it had a terrible smell that was unappetizing. It was also missing ingredients. Personally, the taste was not good and very unappealing. I would not order from here again or recommend this place.

A warm and cozy all u can eat Hotpot restaurant. Their service speed has improved a lot. Plus to that, they serve more options now. Strongly recommend!

Definitely gave us as much food as we wanted, sauce was good, waitress is decently friendly and entire experience is pretty good. Kind of pricey but you can eat your fill! I ordered many many dishes of sliced lamb and it was never delayed. And best of all, I didn’t get diarrhea from all of this!

Hotpot is one of the staples of Chinese food. It can taste absolutely divine on a cold wintery night. It’s not very hard to screw up though. However, this restaurant has gone above and beyond in their attempt to screw up simple hot broth in a pot.Food: 3/5The actual food tasted okay when it wasn’t delayed. But otherwise, getting to the point of eating was super slow. Condiments were sparsely stocked and aside from the water in the pots, this place was as dry as the Sahara desert as there was no water to be found.Service: 1/5Service was going strong at first but like a house of cards, it all collapsed with a little push. First, the water refused to boil for 20+ minutes and the server told us, “keep waiting it’ll boil soon” as if the burner was on toilet break and magically did not work for the past 20 minutes. The first round of food came fine but the 2nd round didn’t come for more than 40 minutes. Was that before or after they lost our order form? No idea, I can’t even keep track at this point. Despite multiple attempts to make eye contact with the servers to ask for water refills, we were waiting with nothing to do for half the time that we were there. This place should supply a deck of playing cards with every table seeing as how long waits were.Cleanliness/Atmosphere: 3/5The place is generally clean and to be fair, it’s quite nice considering it’s located in a basement. I would have expected the place to be cold but it wasn’t bad all. Marks lost due to the place being a little too dim and the floors were messy with wires everywhere.Payment/Conclusion: 1/5After all of the stress and lack of food, they promised a discount. I was hopeful, but that hope was sadly misplaced. After all this, they only gave us a 5% discount (which, by the way, is less than their advertised student discount, that we also did not receive).As the famous shark from Shark Tank, Kevin O’Leary, always says, “I don’t even get out of bed for 5%.” I feel the same in this case but the fact that I had to be in bed in the first place getting screwed by their poor service was the real tragedy.

Came in on a cold Friday evening at dinner time for some nice hotpot and we walked into a nearly empty restaurant. When we asked for tea or hot water they said they don't have any. We didn't think much and proceeded to order.Besides the odd and unwelcoming atmosphere and service, the food it where it gets good". As some previous reviews mentioned

First time doing the hot pot experience and I have mixed feelings over this restaurant. The staff although very pleasant almost look lost. it is a small basement restaurant and looks very unprofessional. we ordered tomato and spicy mix broths and one of the reviewers here is very right spicy is VERY spicy and was to the point of not enjoyable. burnt my throat. the food was tasty but when the water went down after boiling for a while they replaced it with what I assume is base soup but had soap in it so now Im eating soap. will be trying one of the other places i will not be back to this one.

The service at this store has been absolutely amazing, where the owners often greet me with enthusiasm. Everything on the dessert menu never fails to surprise me ranging from handcrafted drinks to hand-made Asian style desserts.

We were the only table at the time, yet the server seemed to be avoiding us. The tables, tea cups, plates and sauce bowls looked used and dirty. The sauce table was a nightmare; the garlic, green onions, cilantro were dried out, off colour, and smelled expired. Seemed like those items have been sitting out all day.Also, we were sitting there for 40 minutes before the soup was finally brought out. It gave us time to collect our thoughts and luckily we found the courage to explain the situation to the server and left. I was not about to spend over $30/person at such a poorly run unhygienic establishment. I regret wasting so much time before we finally left.
