Charming place right by Parc national du Bic. Great for hikes and greenery. Our host Denis was kind and very helpful with tips to discover the region. Highly recommend!

Endroit vraiment charmant, on se sent comme au chalet. Chaque chambre a sa toilette et douche privée ce qui est très pratique dans une maison partagée. Les avis ne font franchement pas justice à l’endroit, il faut aimer le côté champêtre digne d’un gîte de village. La déco des années 50 fait changement du minimalisme froid des hôtels ordinaires, je recommande.

Poor service

I gave a 5 due to our special case. We booked one night stay for July 1st on June 26th, 2023 but unfortunately, we have to cancel this trip due to an urgent healthy issue after the booking. After contacting Denis, we got the cancellation free of charge exceptionally from him.Thanks Denis for his help and kindness!

Charm of the 50s just means no maintenance since the 50s!!! / Smell of mold / all the beds are very uncomfortable / awful sofa bed, unsuitable even for sleeping a child / very crooked floor, bathroom door does not fully open nor close due to it rubbing against the floor / fabrics soiled chairs / do not pay cash because you will not got a receipt / heater poorly fixed to the wall / pipes to the ceiling, sheets in glass window / a remaining little soap in a pot for the whole apartment. In other words, go anywhere else if you can and it will be better. Of course I used a pseudonym for this review, it's wiser when someone has your credit card number and address. Besides, I am convinced that it’s the owner himself who writes the good comments on this site because 1) It’s impossible that someone likes this place 2)he spends a lot of time in front of his computer on the front terrace (instead of looking after his house and cleaning it!)

On July 31st, I booked this hotel for August 9th, because I was planing to go to Prince Edward Island. I had to cancel my trip after 2 days due to Covid-19 while it was still 5 days before my trip. The person there didn’t speak English there, We had to send email to explain the situation so someone would come the following they to read it. They didn’t accept my cancellation and charged my credit car the full price price While my cancellation paper clearly shows the penalty is less than that. I have to call my bank and see how I can complain.

Amazing time and place. Eccentric nostalgia.

Denis is an awesome host, he took us in last minute with no reservations and was super helpful. The house has so many little retro features, nice woodwork and large balcony looking on to the grocery store just out front. A true little gem ;)

We rented a poorly built studio apartment in the back. Not well cleaned: crumbs on counters and hair from previous guests in the bathroom. The bunk beds were dangerous.Friendly owner but did not wear mask nor follow Covid protocols.
