Golden Wu Restaurant
Delicious food! Everything was so fresh and cooked perfectly. The chicken balls were amazing. The chicken was moist and fresh and wasn’t coated in a 1/4” layer of batter. The coating was light and crispy. I was skeptical about the meat egg rolls but they were tasty. The spare ribs were the best I’ve ever had from a restaurant. The meat was tender and juicy and they were full of cartilage. The rice and chow mein was typical. I like how they have a kids menu (basically just a kid size combo plate for $6). They are very friendly and welcoming there. In my opinion, this is definitely the best Chinese food in town. My only complaint would be the portions are a tad smaller than other places.

Stopped here for lunch while in Truro for training and stopped here to eat. Had their lunch special for $6.95. Fast friendly service, food tasted good and for the price you got enough to fill you but not feeling sluggish.

Wife Ordered to C6 meals that were listed at 11.95 plus 2 ice teas. Bill should’ve been 23.90 plus tax but they charged 37.75. So unless they charged 4.30 an ice tea then they added extra in somewhere. Went home with the takeout and the portions were super small and food wasn’t that great.

What a delightful surprise this restaurant was! We were in town to walk the mass shooting memorial in Victoria Park and wanted to stop for a bite to eat. We just drove by this restaurant on the way to the park, and decided to have lunch there. They did not disappoint. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The décor is a bit dated but it doesn’t affect the service or cuisine at all. We definitely recommend.

We were the only ones in there and the food came fast, the decorations were really cute and the food was good. I got lemon chicken and it was really good, the dumplings were soooooo good and the sauce it came with them was good too. I highly recommend this place for a lunch or dinner when roaming around the old part of the city.

I have looked for good Chinese food in the Truro area and have yet to find it. I ordered fried rice and sweet and sour boneless pork. The pork was edible but no onion, green pepper or pineapple in it just sauce over breaded pork. The rice was just bad and looked as if cooked in a dirty pan. They seemed busy so maybe other dishes are better but I will pass.

Food is amazing! The prices are great. Absolutely loved their fryed noodles. The owners are kind and very professional. Need a quick bite at lunch time, great specials and slightly removed from the hustle and bustle of down town. Yummy!!!

I do not recommend! Chicken fried rice had two pieces of chicken, the lemon chicken consisted of of very small pieces of deep fried chicken in a sauce that barely resembled lemon with undercooked onions and carrots. Ordered one extra egg roll to my combo and they charged $5! The rolls barely had filling. Disgusting. Never again.

This was a bit of a surprise!We were having a drive and decided to stop in for a meal.The parking is a bit limited given the size (especially once covid restrictions lift) but street parking is an option.Service was good, quick and courteous.Interior is well kept and decorated nicely, although it does feel a bit like a classic Chinese restaurant not a bad thing but don't expect a hyper modern look.The menu options were actually pretty numerous from the standard combo deals (fried rice, a protein, egg roll), to more specific dishes like mapo tofu.We picked some pretty standard dishes from the North American Chinese options, combo 7 and 8 (egg roll, BBQ pork. / Chicken balls, stir-fry / fried rice) as well as a hot and sour soup.The soup was excellent, thick, with lots of BBQ pork.The mains were also good, the egg roll was really nice and crispy with a meat filling. The chicken balls were excellent, freshly deep-fried the batter was crispy and airy while having a good ratio of meat. The BBQ pork was well made with a good level of seasoning and uniform cuts.I had the stir-fry and it was also good ample bean sprouts! I tried the fried rice on my spouse's dish and it was also well done, good amount of soy sauce in there and a good texture to the rice.Overall the portioning was appropriate, not a stuffed silly but enough that each combo will probably fill up a person amply.Oh one other thing the table was actually set with white pepper, just a nice touch.Lastly price, the prices here are great value! Combos start at $6! That is hard to see now days.Overall highly recommend.
