Chill spot on Cortes with a great host and nice spots to relax.

A beautiful campground. Spaces are a little closer together than some provincial campgrounds but pit toilets are clean and a short walk to a lovely beach.

Cortes calm. The sites are small yet well appointed with decent-sized tent pads in most (all?). Their loos destroy all the old cliches about dirty, smelly houses; these smell gently of fresh wood. And, gents, there are urinals - a fine convenience in the conveniences. There's an awesome shelter with a cooking bench and a wood stove that we expect to use when the rain starts tomorrow.

I loved the location and the grounds. It could use a bit more privacy between adjoining sites, but they are working on growing some shrubs for this so it will improve over time. My one main BIG Complaint is the gravel they use for the tent pads is very sharp and punctured my air mattress right through the tent bottom. My wish would be that they replace it with smooth gravel. In the mean time bring a very substantial ground sheet or protective mat if you are using an air mattress. A yoga mat would probably do the trick.

One of the nicest campsites I've been to. Private, out of the way but still easily car accessible (no 4x4 required). Staff were friendly, too.An easy walk to the beach with great views and sandy spots to rest.Water said to boil it, but washrooms (outhouses) were clean. As other reviewers mentioned, some of the sites had average privacy between neighbouring sites. They did plant ferns and shrubs and they're starting to grow in, and soon the sites will be very nicely private, but they are by no means bad right now.

What a beautiful, peaceful and setene place. Large, immaculate campsites. The beach is huge and perfect for swimming, picnicing, etc. A place you don't want to miss.
