Penhorn Animal Hospital

This isn't my default vet, but my little darlin' was displaying some concerning symptoms so I booked her in at Penhorn to be seen more urgently. I was in to see Dr. Keizer on Saturday and she was an absolute treasure of a human being. She was extremely gentle and kind with my kitty, and very informative and patient with me. They weren't pushy with tests and didn't rush us in and out. She outlined what she suspected and why, and even took me in to view the X-ray after it was done. Thank you for all that you do! ❤️

The staff were so wonderful and caring when we had to put our dog down. They made a very tough day a little easier with their kind words and love. They treated my dog like he was one of their own and even had his paw prints done up for us at no charge.

They got me a last-minute appointment quickly and were absolutely wonderful <3 Very knowledgeable and kind. They took their time to ask lots of questions to understand my dog's history and symptoms. I never felt like they were trying to push me out to see another animal. We got antibiotics, and my dog is feeling much better. Even when I spoke on the phone before the appointment, the other staff knew a lot and had great advice. Would 100% recommend them!

Dr. Keizer is phenomenal, her level of experience is immediately evident. We have 2 dogs with two different personalities. Dr. Keizer catered to each of them uniquely. Her passion for her work is incredible. We couldn’t be more happy to have her as a vet for our dogs ! Highly recommended.

This was the best expérience I had in my life to be honest. Everyone was really nice. The vet I saw really took the time for my dog to be comfortable and explain to me everything from A to Z. I didn't feel pressured at all to do tests I didn't want or unnecessary ( because we all know how expensive it gets). She went above and beyond to go through all the result carefully and detailed with me. Send me an email with all the info of the visit the results and treatment plan. I never ever leave reviews out of lazyness but this was worth sharing. I am still in shock on how the service was perfect. Receptionists also super nice and helpful. Recommend a hundred percent

My sweet girl, Lexie is an 11 year old Lab / German Shepherd mix. Her hips have been slowly starting to fail her and finally a couple of days ago she had a really bad day, in lots of pain. Our regular vet couldn't see her for a few months so we tried Penhorn Animal Hospital and they did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, when a receptionist offered Lexie a soft, thick blanket to sit on so she wouldn't slip on the floor when trying to sit ❤️ We dealt with Dr. Kathy Lamey and Wade Smith and both were astronomically phenomenal! They made her feel comfortable with more blankets on the exam room floor and water. They were incredibly reassuring and caring. They were informative and made sure we understood exactly what we were dealing with. 100% would recommend bringing your fur family to Penhorn Animal Hospital! ❤️⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I bring Kirby my almost 2 year old beagle here regularly and we see dr. Keizer who is phenomenal, kind, and knowledgeable.She goes above and beyond for Kirby and walks us through every step, couldn’t be happier with the staff and atmosphere here.

My husband and I brought one of our greyhounds to Penhorn Animal Hospital last night when he was unable to bear weight on his front left leg suddenly. I called in the morning and had an appointment later on that day. They were very accommodating and allowed us to bring his bed into the clinic and let him rest in one of the exam rooms while we waited for the vet. The ladies out front were lovely and chatted with us while we waited and were nothing but sweet and supportive.They allocate an hour (I believe) to an appointment, so there's no feeling of being rushed and they let us relax by ourselves in the exam room while Nandor, our pup, was being x-rayed out back. When he was done, they allowed us to go to the back of the clinic to view the x-rays and discuss further, which I thought was a nice gesture (it's also very spacious and quite impressive back there!).Thankfully, it wasn't osteosarcoma and we were able to bring our boy home last night. He is faring well today after some rest and taking the pain meds they sent us home with. The staff at the clinic were so gentle with him and I am so grateful for their help when we feared the worst. Everyone was super understanding and compassionate.It's also a nice touch that they will email the radiographs and instructions to you after so you have them for your own records and they also forward everything to your family vet. They are a great clinic and I wouldn't hesitate to call again in the future.Thank you so much :)

I came in for an emergency appointment recently. Never been to this vet before. I had a great experience! Super nice and helpful staff. The vet I saw was amazing and really showed that she cared about my dog and treated him so well. I have been unhappy with my previous vet for a while. Just one appointment and my dog was treated so much better than my previous vet. They also called a few days later to check in on him which my last vet never did.Really happy with my experience and will 100% be switching to this vet clinic :)
