View was absolutely amazing. Check in and out was so easy and by far the best. Room even though had some damaged items (tv had black line through it and discoloured on the bottom of the screen, bed frame was cracked, and the blinds were falling apart) I easily forgot about those problems because it was so clean, spacious and so so comfortable. Even though the parking lot was full it felt as we were the only guests. I can’t wait to stay and enjoy the beauty of the lodge again.

Pro)Amazing view & pet friendlyCons) dated room that needs through cleaning including carpets and underneath sofa bed. Due to the dust we itchy and allergic to something throughout our stay. Not so kids friendly as the place is quite dated especially balcony and second floor glass fence.Overall this place is for the view and it was just amazing and hot tub was a big plus. It was more like Air B&B and not a hotel, no room service/delivery.

The only good things about this hotel are the view is outstanding and the service is good, staffs are attentive and friendly. However, the sofa bed is very uncomfortable, and there is no duvet that comes with the sofa bed, only some blankets with stains on them. The glasses, chairs, pillows, blankets, and so much more things in the room are not clean, rather has dust or stain on them. The washroom and balcony door can't close properly. The main door doesn't look secure enough as well, just a very thin wooden door with a password lock.

My wife and I spent the weekend in the luxury queen suit. We had a great time and Lori was super helpful. The chalet has amazing breakfast (specificaly the Eggs benny!!!) we had their pizza for dinner and it was also fantastic! The View was second to none from our room! Sunrise and sunset right over the hills viewed from bed, bath or private balcony. Thanks for a great weekend!

We stayed one night in the King Suite to kick off our road trip around the Pacific Rim Circuit. As others have noted, the view is exceptional and really the reason to stay here. Everything else was pretty subpar. The sheets and bathtub were clean to our great relief, but furniture was old and falling apart, windows (even the inside) appeared to have not been wiped for a while, dust and the smell of mildew sort of permeated. Pretty much what we were expecting based on the other reviews, so we were not disappointed, but be prepared! The view, however, cannot be beat and we had a nice dinner at Alpina Resort which was a nice way to kick off our honeymoon!

The view is awesome! We stayed in a queen luxury suite and it was not what I was expecting at all for the price. Our room wasn't ready at 4pm when check in is. A staff member was unwell I guess and things were behind. The part that bugged me is that we had called earlier asking if the room was ready and they said it would be at 4. We kept being told it would be a few more minutes which led to us waiting in the parking lot for over half an hour. Then the room was like almost clean. Everything is dated and scratched, tiles loose around the tub, dusty, front panel on the fireplace missing. Furniture didn't match was scratched and it smelled a bit like a wet dog. Had a lovely bath with a gorgeous view to the sound of freedom convoy trucker honking their little hearts out as there was some sort of BBQ in support in the neighboring gas station. On return to our room we had no hot water. Called and the friendly staff told me nothing could be done. In the morning we had hot water but were out of coffee so called and about 40 minutes later got a coffee. It just wasn't quite the queen luxury suite as advertised. It is a great road side stop sort of place but it was just sort of missing that. Great view though.

Amazing amazing views, clean enough, old towels that need to be replaced, carpet on floor, stains from water damage on ceiling, looks like it hasn't been updated in 15/20 years. No iron or steamer in room although they had a small ironing board. Small TV. Fireplace is a bonus. Nice that it has a small balcony and a mini fridge. I would not stay here again. Unfortunate that such beautiful views are wasted on a 2/3 star property. Overpriced for what you get. I would stay here again if they renovated properly.

My wife and I had a noise complaint at 4.45pm by the front desk from guest staying underneath us claiming they would not be able to sleep if we continued on like that. When me and my wife are such quiet people. We might of made squeak a little but I mean your staying at a hotel. It definitely put a damper on the rest of the night. We tip toed and whispered the rest of the night. Never ever have we had a noise complaint. Shocking. If you stay be veerrwwyyy veerrwwy quiet........who goes to bed at 4.45pm!???

Beautiful room with excellent views. Very accommodating towards my dogs. Provided beds and bowls for my furry friends. Check-in and-out was very easy. Malahat Chateau restaurant on property was excellent, with good food and excellent views. Staff at both locations were super friendly and helpful.
