Birth Doula, prenatal classes - Birth Beginnings

The best decision I made for my pregnancy was hiring Michelle as my doula. As a first timer I was nervous and the anxiety of birth was eating away my energy. Once I hired and met with Michelle that fear was minimal. I felt pretty confident going into labour. My birth was not as planned as my son came early but Michelle kept me calm and I was able to give birth Naturally to my beautiful baby boy. I adored Michelle but till today my husband reminds me that he was the lucky one to have Michelle. His fears were controlled. Michelle was the perfect fit for out birth journey. I am forever grateful and want to hire her for our next baby!!!!

We hired Michelle as our Doula this April for the birth of our son and had the most incredible experience. We both had quite a bit of anxiety before the birth as it was our first child. Michelle eased all our anxiety and empowered us by offering tons of valuable information through text messaging, emails and home visits to prepare us for labour. Hiring Michelle was by far the best money we spent throughout our pregnancy.She is incredibly professional, prompt, kind and warm. You can tell she absolutely loves her job - the passion is real!During the labour she provided support for both myself and my husband. I don't think our birth experience would have been as positive as it was without her. After the birth she continued to provide support by following up with us every few days and coming to our home for a final visit where she presented us with an absolutely beautiful birth story book. The book is a keepsake we will cherish for years to come.Thank you, Michelle! We are forever grateful for your amazing services.

We found Michelle’s prenatal classes incredibly informative. She created a safe space for us to ask questions, delve deeper into topics important to us, and made sure we had the answers before moving on. Michelle was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and welcoming. We enjoyed our five-week prenatal class. All questions were answered honestly and everyone was made to feel that any concerns were valid. I feel that the knowledge we gained has helped better prepare me and my husband for the arrival of our first baby.I would definitely recommend soon-to-be parents take this class.

My husband and I took Michelle's 4-week prenatal course. It was fantastic!!! We quite truly can't recommend Michelle more highly. She is knowledgeable, empathetic, inviting, and funny! We learned so much- from her, from the array of resources she provided, and just from the organic discussion she fostered between all of the couples taking the class. If you're wondering whether to take prenatal classes or not- do it!! And be sure you do them with Michelle!! You won't be disappointed :)

After attending Birth Beginnings prenatal classes, myself and my husband were so impressed by Michelle's expertise, her confident manner and her ability to make the classes fun and relaxed that we decided we wanted Michelle to be our Doula. It was a brilliant decision!As my Doula, Michelle was a constant support to me. Leading up to the labour, she answered my texts and phone calls at any time during the day or night. She always offered great advice and calmed me down if I had any worries. I always felt so reassured knowing that she would be present at my birth and that she had a wealth of information to enable me to have the labour I wanted.When my labour day finally came, Michelle was exceptional. I believe that her presence gave me so much confidence to have a natural and awesome birth. My baby had such a good beginning in life. I am so thankful to Michelle for having such a big part of that.

My wife and I took Michelle's birth preparation course and have nothing but great things to say about it!Michelle came very well prepared for each of the four sessions that we had and was able to tailor the course to all of our concerns and questions as needed. She had a ton of different information to offer and even sent out additional resources throughout the week for us to learn from.She really helped to calm our nerves about becoming new parents and gave us a variety of different approaches for before and during labour, as well as as caring for our newborn after the birth. I would highly recommend her course to anyone!

Michelle is an amazing women with unbelievable passion for what she does. We hired her as a labour doula for the birth of our first child and she empowered us to fulfill our wishes for a natural birth. We were amazed at how well she read my cues as my labour progressed, coached my husband to provide the support I needed, and offered a calm voice of reason during the most intense moments. Her guidance and encouragement were invaluable! The birth of our daughter was a truly joyful experience and we owe that to Michelle. We look at our beautiful little girl and will forever be grateful!

My husband and I took Michelle’s 5 week birthing course prior to the arrival of our first child and we highly recommend. The atmosphere was comfortable and casual, the materials covered were relevant, up to date and included lots of anecdotal evidence/stories from Michelle’s vast experience. We felt very prepared for the arrival of our son and enjoyed coming each week to class. We also met lots of great friends in the class that we stay in touch with! Michelle has a calm and confident presence and will give you the confidence and information you need. I found it not to be overwhelming and we received lots of handouts and links to online resources to help us on our journey. Thanks Michelle!

Michelle is so brilliant and well informed, very engaging, and very clearly cared about each of our prenatal journeys.
